The Stingray Review
Seaside Elementary
Dear Seaside Families,
We are so excited and thankful for our student council led by our third grade teacher Ms. Serena Morris. On Monday, May 6 they have bought every student in our building Stingray Swirl from Stella's Ice Cream. We have heard our ice cream flavor Stingray Swirl has been a big hit at Stella's Ice Cream and we are hoping for one last strong push this weekend so that we can win The Ice Cream Wars at Stella's Ice Cream! The Ice Cream Wars ends on May 5. This upcoming week we are excited to see our child development and kindergarten students perform Mother Goose is on the Loose. We are having this performance on May 7 at 6 PM in our gym. Also, coming up this week on Wednesday, May 8 our third and fourth graders have SC Ready testing in the area of reading. We are so proud and excited for them as they will do an amazing job showing what they know on the state assessments. Families please do not forget that on our state testing days we are not having any visitors for any grade level for lunch. The dates that we will not be having any visitors for lunch will be May 8, May 14, May 16, May 21, and May 23. Thank you for your attention to this so there is not any confusion on these days. Hopefully the rain will stay away from our area this weekend and everyone will be able to enjoy their time outside. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend and I look forward to seeing our students back at school on Monday, May 6, 2024.
Sincerely,
Andrew Ball Ed.D

Please check your child's backpack!
Seaside Families, I cannot stress this enough. We are seeing a big increase with things that should be staying at home. Please check your child's backpack for inappropriate items, personal electronic devices, toys, stuffed animals, Pokemon cards, sports cards, plush toys, key chains etc. We do not want your child losing their personal items. We are not responsible for any lost items. We do not want any items coming to school that may cause a safety issue or cause your child to get into trouble. Students do not need to bring any sports equipment or balls to school. We have more than enough equipment for students to use. Please note for the 24-25 school year that all schools in Horry County will be going to clear book bags. You will see this information when registering your student (s) for next school year.

Traffic Reminder!
For safety purposes I am reminding all of our parents that between the hours of 7-8 A.M. and 2-3 P.M. there is a sign at the end of the road that says to make a right turn on to Highway 17. Please be safe and follow all road signs. Thank you for your help with this.
