Parent/Family Community Engagement Program
The South San Antonio ISD Family Engagement Program offers parents and families a variety of activities and opportunities to engage with their students teachers, campus and the district. In order to meet the needs and increase the overall engagement of our families and the community SSIASD evaluates all programs, activities and policies on an annual basis. South San Antonio ISD encourages all our families to participate in district-wide and campus meetings to provide program feedback.

District Highlights
South San Antonio ISD Fine Arts Showcase
South San Antonio ISD hosted its first ever Fine Arts Showcase on Saturday, February 24. Students had the opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities that have been taught and enriched by the South San Antonio Independent School District, Teachers, and Campuses as a whole. Parents/Families and community members were provided with information from various federal programs including Title I schoolwide programs like Dual Language/Bilingual/Title III, Head Start, Special Education among others.

Enrollment for our PreK program at San San Antonio ISD is open for the 2024-2025
academic year! Join our vibrant learning community for:

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service community survey
South San Antonio ISD partners with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service who offers nutrition classes to students and their families within our district as well as providing educational programs that address the most critical issues in Bexar County. In order to ensure that future programs being planned are on target, The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service invites your participation in the Texas Community Futures Forum through this survey .Your opinion is highly valued in our community, so we truly hope you can provide us with your input and thank you for your participation.
SSAISD Partners with Eagles Flight Advocacy and Outreach for Community Support
On Thursday, February 15, SSAISD CARE Zone announced its partnership with Eagles Flight, a local outreach program offering family services, during a walk-through ceremony at CARE Zone’s facility.
Established in 2019, the CARE Zone provides district counseling services for students and families at no cost. These services include clothing, food, Medicaid and food stamp application assistance, ESL classes, and school supplies.
