TITLE I DOCUMENTS THE PLAN / THE PROMISE
This Plan/Promise describes how the school and families will build and develop a partnership to help students achieve the challenging State and district academic standards.
Students participating in the Title I program and their families agree that this Plan/Promise outlines how the entire school staff, the students, and their families will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement at GIVE Center West.
The Plan/The Promise is available for you on MyPaymentsPlus and the school website under the Title I Section.
Printed copies are available in the Parent Center.
Thank you.
Resources from Our Counselors
This month we would like to encourage our families to help their students develop good study habits as we prepare for finals next month.
Success Tips include:
· At school, students should keep their binders organized.
· Use a planner to record assignments, tests, and upcoming deadlines.
· Create a daily homework plan.
· When you are in class, ask and answer questions, and participate in class discussions.
· Have a set study time every day. Find a quiet study area.
· Ignore or remove distractions when working at home.
· Read for at least 20 minutes every day.
· Have a positive "can do" attitude in class, even when things are hard.
GIVE West College and Career Day
College and Career Day at GIVE was held on November 14th and consisted of representatives from the college, tech schools, trade schools, military branches, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. The purpose of career day is to expose students to various career options. Career Day is an opportunity for our MS & HS students to learn about college and career opportunities directly from professionals. It is also an excellent career networking opportunity that allows students to make connections with potential employers.

Happy Holidays!
This is the season for celebrating life with the people we love and reminding one another joyously that our lives are anchored in families and communities. It is also a time to remember that no matter who we are, no obligations are more profound than caring for children and passing along traditions to younger generations. Thank you for supporting your child at GIVE West throughout this semester. We want to wish you a Happy Holiday and a Great New Year! We hope you all have a joyous and special holiday season with plenty of time to relax and enjoy family and friendships. Safe travels and warm tidings to every one of you!
