District Report Card
Dudley-Charlton Regional School District
2023 School and District Report Cards
February 29, 2024
Dear Dudley-Charlton Learning Community:
Every year, public schools and school districts in Massachusetts receive an annual report card, issued by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Just as your child’s report card shows how they are performing in different subjects, the school’s report card is similarly designed to show families how schools are performing in different areas. Here are the links to each school’s report card in our district:
Mason Road School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580010
Dudley Elementary School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580005
Charlton Elementary School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580310
Heritage School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580030
Dudley Middle School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580305
Charlton Middle School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580310
Shepherd Hill Regional High School: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/06580505 Dudley-Charlton Regional School District:
https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2023/DistrictReportcard/06580000
The report card includes multiple measures of a school’s performance -- beyond MCAS scores. DESE’s report cards represent a new way of looking at school performance by providing information on student achievement, teacher qualifications, student learning opportunities, and more. Report cards are designed to be useful tools for everyone connected to our schools. Families can use the information to have meaningful conversations with school leaders about what the school is doing well and where there is room for improvement. Community and education leaders can use the information to better understand how to support students and our schools.
Additionally, Mason Road, Dudley Elementary, Charlton Elementary, and Heritage are schools in our district that receive federal Title I funds. Consequently, parents have the right to request the following information:
• Whether your child’s teacher is licensed in the grade levels and subject areas they teach, • Whether your child’s teacher is teaching under an emergency license or waiver,
• The college degree and major of your child’s teacher, and
• Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
If you have questions regarding the school report cards, would like to become involved in school improvement activities, or would like to request information on the qualifications of your child’s classroom teacher, please contact your child’s principal. Translation and hard copies are available upon request.
Sincerely,
Darren C. Elwell
Interim Title I Director
