Hello Ranger Families!

It was a short, but busy week at Elk Ridge. It was fun to see all of the school spirit with fun outfits throughout the week and participation in our homecoming parade! Our first graders have been working with 5th grade reading buddies and it has been wonderful to see those connections grow. Teachers had time Thursday afternoon and Friday to increase their learning and to reflect on all of the amazing things our students are doing. Enjoy your weekend!

The annual vision and hearing screening is on October 24th.

A reminder that ALL medications need to be kept in the health room. Students should not have medications in their backpack or lunch box to take at school. An authorization filled out by your LHCP is also required for medications to be at school.

If a change in your students health changes, please reach out to the Health room.

Every month the classroom with the highest percentage of students at school wins our "Star Attendance" award and gets to choose a spirit day for that month. September's winners were Mrs. Huffman's first grade class. They chose a Sports Spirit Day on Friday, October 25th. Feel free to wear your sports gear on that day, please no sports equipment(helmets, bats, balls, etc.).

Reminder ANNUAL STUDENT INFORMATION UPDATE is required to be completed by Thursday, October 31st.

It's time for our Annual Student Information competition! It is really important for us to get this information on a yearly basis for returning students, this is not required for new students. If you have issues accessing Skyward please reach out to the office staff.

The office staff will be providing pizza to the first 3 classes that have all of their forms completed and submitted the fastest.

We know that our Rangers love a good competition and can't wait to see who is victorious!

The White River Education Foundation supports White River students district wide. Some of the things they support are our Kindergarten field trip to Northwest Trek and our 5th grade field trip to JA Biz Town. Their annual fundraiser is coming up on November 2nd.
