Building Bridges to Tomorrow is a global collaborative project that joins together students at the lower elementary level (typically grades K-2, 4-7 years old). It is an exciting, challenging and unique experience that allows very young people (and their teachers) to connect and collaborate using different communication modes.

The Building Bridges to Tomorrow Project uses Web 2.0 tools to support communication and interaction as well as collaboration and creation between students and teachers from classrooms around the world. The topics shared and discussed are real-world scenarios that aim to pique interest amongst students as to similarities and differences between classes and cultures.

Just to confirm, Flat Connections global projects available this coming semester:

Starting mid-February:

Starting at the end of February:

• Windows to the World - Grade 3-6 - READ the Teacher Guide
  

Starting March Week 1:

• Building Bridges to Tomorrow - Early years, K-2 - READ the Teacher Guide
  

Starting mid-March:

• Poetry with Passion and Performance - Grade 3-6 - READ the Teacher Guide
  

Access to Flat Connections global projects is via subscription. There are four main subscription levels - Teacherpreneur, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Full details are on the Global Projects web page. Don't forget the subscription details are in Australian dollars! (check your conversion with http://xe.com)

If you are a single global teacher in a school the TEACHERPRENEUR subscription gives you access to our global community and to one project for one semester.

If you have 2-3 of classrooms (at any level or mixed levels, up to 50 students) who want to join (to one or more projects) the BRONZE subscription is best for you.

If you have a variety of student groups across levels and across projects, up to 100 students, the SILVER subscription gives you great flexibility to mix and match.

The GOLD subscription is for those schools who are really focused on global collaborative learning and building intercultural understanding and global competency into their whole school programs.
