Curriculum Focus
Grades K-2
Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) is a language arts program for Grades PreK–5 that combines a multi-sensory approach to phonics with rich texts carefully sequenced to build content knowledge—so that students learn to read and read to learn at the same time.
Every day in Grades PreK–2, students complete one full lesson that builds foundational reading skills, as well as one full lesson that builds background knowledge. In Grades 3–5, students start to master the skills of reading, further opening up their worlds.
Grades 3-6
Students in Grades 3-6 will take NYS Assessments beginning in April. Teachers will continue using district curriculum such as myView for whole group instruction while also introducing an enrichment plan to support skill development.

Prek Arrival Update
We hope this message finds you well. As we begin this exciting new chapter of learning and growth, we want to share some important updates regarding our classroom policies and procedures. These changes are designed to ensure a safe, structured, and effective environment for your children.
New Policies and Procedures
Sign-In and Drop-Off: To enhance safety and streamline our morning routine, families will now need to sign their child in at the designated area upon arrival. A staff member will be available to assist and guide your child to the classroom. Please note that families will no longer be permitted to accompany their children to the classroom itself. This policy helps maintain a secure and focused learning environment for all students.
Attendance Celebration
We want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support in ensuring your child’s educational success.
Regular attendance is essential for your child's learning and development. Arriving at school on time each day helps them fully engage in their classes and build a strong foundation for their future. We appreciate your efforts in making sure they come to school every day.
Thank you once again for your partnership in promoting good attendance. Together, we can make a positive impact on your child's education.
