PTO News
Box Tops Contest!
Would your family like to earn a SkyZone gift package that includes a drawstring bag and (2) 1-hour passes? Well the PTO would like to see your family’s Box Top activity. To be entered into the drawing, your family must turn in a minimum of (1) Box Top Clip and (1) Box Top Receipt Scan from 2020. It’s pretty easy! We will gladly accept more than one, but one step at a time. If you would like to be entered into the drawing, complete the Clip & Scan handout coming home with your student (remember, you only need (1) of each kind on be entered). Make sure you include the names of all your students on the sheet to be entered. All extra clips can be turned into your student’s teacher or office. There are extra forms in the office for all the extra clips. The deadline for entering the drawing will be on February 28, 2020. There are only 2 entries in the contest so far!!
I’m sure you’ve seen all the new changes with the Box Tops for Education program. This streamlined effort by the Box Tops for Education program is efficient, but not thorough. It only works if we use it! Our PTO is able to serve the staff and students many treats throughout the school year (For example: the annual theme spirit wear shirts, a scholarship to a graduating student and the Kona Ice Truck on field day). We would love to support the teachers in many more ways, but we need the continued support of our school community to do it. If you are not in a position to download the app and scan receipts, Mrs. Wiley has come up with a solution to that problem!...
Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday Staff Breakfast

Roncalli High School is pleased to invite you to the first “R Family Day” to celebrate the diversity of the Roncalli Family. Join us on Saturday, March 7th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in the Roncalli main lobby, cafeteria, and old gymnasium as we take a trip around the world to learn about cultures, ethnicities, and races.
As you enter the main lobby, you will be greeted by the sounds of a mariachi band and be given a passport to lead you on your adventure for the day. The first hour will feature educational booths in the cafeteria from countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America. The second hour will be in the old gymnasium, as students showcase singing, dancing, and a fashion show to highlight their cultures and heritages.
Sui Par, a senior at Roncalli and co-founder of the event, says, “On ‘R Family Day,’ we hope to celebrate a few of the numerous cultures and ethnic groups that make up our uniquely diverse community. The guests will be able to explore cultures, try new foods, and enjoy different traditions as the representatives share their respective cultures. It is a unique opportunity to travel the world in just one room.”
“It is our mission that through this event we will showcase how the Roncalli Family encompasses our diverse world. It has been a true joy to watch our students envision, lead, and execute this event,” said Assistant Principal for Student Life, Kevin Banich.
The event is open to the public and free of cost; however, donations will be gratefully accepted to support the event.
Please contact Kevin Banich, kbanich@roncalli.org if you have any questions.
