Dear Sabre Families,

Years from now when we think back to this year, it will bring back many memories of the trials, tribulations, successes and challenges we all experienced during the global pandemic. With phase two opening in Alberta, we are all cautiously optimistic in getting back to what we are accustomed to, not only in our day to day, but specifically in education and in schools.

This upcoming week is the final week of classes for all students and it is without reservation that we start to look forward to honoring and celebrating the graduating class of 2020. This group has gone through something unimaginable; not being able to be together for their final months of school, including graduation. Hence, we are so looking forward to seeing our Grade 12’s later this week when they pick up their well deserved cap and gown for ceremonies held from June 22 - 24 when each student has their moment ‘walking the stage’ with their loved ones looking on.

I won’t give too much away about plans for next week but thank you to our Grad Committee, led by Mr. Salyzyn, for the work involved in putting together a very unique and momentous grad week that include numerous video presentations, features and themes throughout.

To our entire student group from Grades 10-12, we are extremely proud and pleased with the maturity and sense of responsibility that you have developed. Our students, as a group, have become excellent citizens.

Similar to all weeks, but maybe more so with closing the school year, finishing classes & writing exams, graduation & resource return, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

This communication outlines the details that you need to know for Resource Return for all grades. Please check into your Destiny Account for a list of items currently on loan from Salisbury. Please note, some laptops may not appear on your Destiny Account, but are still required to be returned.

Resource Return Grade 12 Main Foyer

Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Friday, June 19, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please find below the instructions for Resource Return which includes textbooks, library books, English novels, and laptops. Grade 12's will also be able to pick up grad gowns and yearbooks at this time. You can reach the scheduling site through this link.

• Students only
• Maintain physical distancing measures

Resource Return Details

• Enter school through the North East front doors at your allotted time.
• Scan textbooks and library books and place on designated carts. Staff will be there to help check for damage.
• If you have borrowed a laptop, proceed to the laptop tables where staff will be there to help. You will need to login to your profile. Remember to bring the power cord.
• Continue to the yearbook table if you ordered one.
• Then, pick up your grad gown and exit through the South East doors.
• Once you exit the building please leave the school grounds and parking lots.
