How to Check Your Student Out of School
NEW NEW NEW...PLEASE READ!!!
All check-outs must be submitted through Skyward WITH AT LEAST 2 HOURS NOTICE prior to a student being picked up or released. When submitting a partial-day request, you must uncheck the all-day box and enter the time the student needs to leave the school. Partial-day requests entered as full days will automatically be denied. We are unable to process same day Skyward requests entered after 2:00 PM. After this time, check-outs will need to be done in person, by a parent, guardian, or emergency contact at the front office. That person will need their government-issued ID.
For the 2024-2025 school year, student checkouts (both through Skyward and in-person) will conclude at 4:00 PM. After this time, pick up will need to wait until 4:10 PM to ensure safe departure, as this coincides with the arrival of our buses for dismissal.

Prosper ISD Celebrates Students Awarded with Academic Honors from College Board National Recognition Program
We are celebrating 239 students in Prosper ISD as a part of more than 90,000 students who earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program during the 2024 school year. The programs celebrate the hard work of thousands of high school students nationwide to help them showcase their strong academic performance.
For the first time, the academic honors recognize first-generation students, in addition to rural and small town, Black, Indigenous, and Hispanic/or Latino students. Students may meet criteria for multiple awards. The program opens college access for more students because many institutions use the awards for their recruitment efforts.
At Prosper High School, 119 students earned a total of 146 awards.
At Rock Hill High School, 93 students earned a total of 116 awards.
At Walnut Grove High School, 27 students earned a total of 31 awards.
Our students possess unique qualities that will be valuable assets to colleges and postsecondary programs. The National Recognition Programs help highlight these strengths by allowing students to verify their eligibility annually on BigFuture®. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria: maintain a GPA of B+ (at least 3.3 or 87%-89%); score within the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT® or PSAT™ 10 test-takers in their state for each program, or achieve a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP® Exams by the end of 10th grade; attend school in a rural area or small town (high schools are classified as rural or small town based on location data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)) or identify as African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Indigenous/Native American, or a first-generation college student.
Students can submit during their sophomore or junior year and are awarded at the beginning of the next school year.
Congratulations Students!
