Our annual during-school Walk/Jog-a-thon is coming up on Friday, October 4, 2024 (rain date: Friday, October 25th). This is a great opportunity for students to have fun, stay active, and raise funds to support BCE! BONUS: Every student will receive a FREE BCE Spirit Wear T-shirt from the BCE Parents Club at this event to show their school pride!

How It Works:

Students can gather pledges for each lap completed or as a one-time donation before the event, with a goal of raising $50 per student. Typically students run an average of ~15-20 laps. There is a few ways students can collect pledges; either by creating a pledge page online or using our traditional paper form.

DJ Downward is donating his time to play fun tunes during this event! We will also be providing refreshments after their laps.

8:45–9:15: TK/K

9:15–9:45: 1st Grade

9:45–10:15: 2nd Grade

10:15–10:45: 3rd Grade

10:45–11:15: 4th Grade

11:15–11:45: 5th Grade

The Drive for Schools fundraiser is here! Tickets were sent home with students and each family received a ticket book 🎫 (6 for $25). Anyone can buy tickets (e.g., grandparents, coworkers, neighbors). We like to look at this fundraiser as a way to directly donate, with the added perk of being entered into a drawing. This is also a great opportunity for donation matching from your company, as well. We have info on how to do this for Apple, Microsoft and Google. Just ask!

100% of the proceeds go directly to BCE Parents Club! Payments are due by October 18th at 8:30 am. If you like to purchase tickets visit.

BCE welcomes New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Lang, creator of the Grumpy Monkey series! TK–2nd graders enjoyed a special assembly yesterday where she read her latest book.

15% of sales from signed Grumpy Monkey books will benefit the BCE Library! Plush toys are also available. Order forms can be picked up at the BCE office or library, or accessed online or you can download paper forms and turn them into the library or BCE Office.

As we celebrate National Custodian Day on October 2nd, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Grisdela and Ivan, who work tirelessly to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming. Their dedication and attention to detail make a tremendous difference in the daily lives of our students, staff, teachers, and families. Thank you, Grisdela and Ivan, for all you do—we appreciate you more than words can say!

Thank you all that attended the Ice Cream Social last Friday! We raised ~$1200 and $120 of it came from River Dogs of Boulder Creek as they donated 10% of their sales to the 5th Graders Family Dinner Night. The remainder went to the 5th Grade Science Camp. We are so thankful for our hard working volunteers!
