Reproductive Health Letter/Opt Out Information
The health courses in which all middle school students are currently enrolled will begin teaching units predicated upon human sexuality during this school year. Here is a letter explaining this and it also gives information regarding opting out of these units in health.
Reproductive Health Parent Letter
Please let us know by Monday, September 16 if you will be opting your student out of this portion of our health curriculum.
Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire
We will be administering this year's Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire in the middle school during the week of September 23. Here is an information letter regarding this questionnaire: SDQ Parent Letter
Here is a link to the Questionnaire and the Scoring Key that is used.
If you would like to opt your student out of the SDQ for this school year, please use the form attached in the letter above or email Mrs. Thunberg directly at thunbergj@freelandschools.net by Monday, September 16.
Dress Code
Please make sure to review the dress code in the student handbook. We are seeing several students with clothing that does not fit within the guidelines for appropriate school attire. Students continuing to violate the dress code will be called to the office and asked to change clothes. At this point, we have given warnings and asked them not to wear the clothing again but this week we will start having students call for a change in clothes.
