Back to School!
2024-2025 RHS Enrollment and Verification
Parents, it is now time to verify your students are returning to Rock Hill Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Returning verification is NOW OPEN. Click here for details.
This year ALL students must provide a proof of residency in order to recieve a schedule! Accepted documents inlcude a Lease Agreement dated within the last 12 months or a Utility Bill dated within the last 30 days.
Please also make sure your parent portals are accessible and up to date! Parent portal is where students must be registered to recieve bus transportation and technology access.
*A Raider Apparel Store will be sent out next week for all families! A portion of each purchase will be donated to our Student Activity Fund!
Welcome New Teachers!
Ms. Reynolds
Welcome back Ms. Reynolds! Ms. Reynolds is starting her 8th year of teaching and will teach 8th grade Science this year! Her favorite Science topic is Genetics. She enjoys spending time with her family, trivia nights, Gamecock football and Taylor Swift! Welcome back Ms. Reynolds!
Ms. Burkhart
Ms. Burkhart will be teaching Art this year! Ms. Burkhart has a degree in Fine Arts from Winthrop University. Previously, Ms. Burkhart has taught middle school art in Charlotte. Her favorite medium to work with is Relief Printmaking. She enjoys spending time with her two fur babies, Benny and Stevie. Welcome Ms. Burkhart!
Ms. Edmond
Ms. Edmond is our new attendance clerk! She has recently relocated to our area after holding an impressive resume of support positions. Ms. Edmond has held positions as a Library Assistant, Budget and Finance Secretary, Counselor Clerk and Attendance Clerk. In her free time, Ms. Edmond enjoys bowling. Welcome Ms. Edmond!
Ms. Moreno
Ms. Moreno will be teaching sixth grade Language Arts this year! Ms. Moreno has taught at both the middle and high school levels for a total of six years. In addition, she has been a reading tutor for elementary-aged students and is very passionate about helping students become better readers! Ms. Moreno loves hiking and being outdoors. She has even hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and camped for a night. Welcome Ms. Moreno!
Ms. Rowe
Ms. Rowe will work as our new Building Bridges Teacher this year! Ms. Rowe comes to us with several years of experience in Exceptional Student Education. Ms. Rowe has five dogs, three of which are rescue pitbulls! Welcome Ms. Rowe!
Ms. Praylow
Ms. Praylow will be teaching 8th grade Social Studies! Ms. Praylow holds a degree in Middle Level Language Arts and Social Studies. She has spent two years teaching in the United States and one year teaching overseas. Welcome Ms. Praylow!
Ms. Donado
Ms. Donado will be teaching Spanish this year! Ms. Donado is a native Spanish speaker with more than 13 years as an English as a second language teacher to elementary, middle and high school students, also teacher of science, social studies and reading. Welcome Ms. Donado!
Mr. Wilkins
Mr. Wilkins will be joining us as an assistant in our Learning Connections classroom. Mr. Wilkins went to Winthrop as a Social Studies Education major, was a Teacher Cadet at Rock Hill High School. He has coached wrestling at Rock Hill High and the Rhino Wrestling Club. He currently coaches wrestling at Rawlinson Road and helps out at Northwestern! Welcome Mr. Wilkins!
Ms. Hearl
Ms. Hearl will be teaching 6th grade math this year at RRMS! She has taught since 2007 in Oconee County as a 6th and 7th grade math teacher and social studies teacher. Ms. Hearl loves to fly to different places, and loves to walk on our lovely South Carolina beaches. Ms. Hearl attended Rawlinson Road Middle School as a student many years ago! Welcome Ms. Hearl!
Mr. Enes
Mr. Enes will join RRMS as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher! Mr. Enes is a recent graduate of The Citadel majoring in Secondary Education. Mr. Enes enjoys soccer and looks forward to starting his teaching career at RRMS! Welcome Mr. Enes!
Continuous Improvement
RRMS faculty, staff and administration have spent the summer dedicated to strenthening RRMS! Teachers have engaged in professional development revolved around new standards, teaching practices and our Leader-In-Me iniative.

A shout out goes to the Northwestern Football team this summer! These student-athletes have assisted us with moving furniture throughout the building! Please consider supporting them during their football season!

Student Athlete Opportunity!
The 2024 Police Chief’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at First Baptist Church in Rock Hill on August 7, 2024 at 7:30am. This year the focus is on the youth in our community. Rod Stinson, Captain of the Community Engagement Division of Rock Hill Police Department is the coordinator and wants to invite as many youths as possible to hear the keynote speaker, Chris Singleton. Mr. Singleton speaks across the nation to over 80 groups annually from schools and colleges to fortune 100 companies, MLB, NBA, and NFL organizations. He became a nationally renowned speaker following the loss of his mother in the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church Tragedy in Charleston, SC, where he grew up. He played college baseball and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs and played minor league baseball. His missions when he speaks are to inspire his audiences with his story of resilience and to unite millions of people with his belief that, “Love is Stronger Than Hate.”

District Wide Summer Hours
Rock Hill Schools will observe 2024 Summer Hours during June and July. Beginning June 10th all schools and offices will be open to the public from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday thru Thursday.
The district will close on the following Fridays:
- June 14, 21, 28
- July 5, 12, 19, 26
- The district will also close on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday
