Fall is in the air - what a relief from the heat and humidity! We hope all of you are enjoying this refreshing weather.

With that being said, please make sure your child dresses appropriately for school each day as students will be going out for recess. Keeping a sweater or jacket handy is a good idea, especially with the temperature fluctuation from inside to outdoors and even within different the classrooms.

😀 - Frank's Martial Arts for coming in and providing the staff with self-defense training.

😀 - Coach A, Coach B., Mrs. Arnowitz and Mrs. Weingardt for a fun PAWS Rewards Sports Day. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered too!

😀 - The Chicago Police Department for coming in to talk to the 5th-8th grade about Cyber-Bullying.

😀 - To our AMAZING CUSTODIANS for always keeping our school clean and safe. Happy Custodian Appreciation Week! 💪

Parents…this is a friendly reminder: school begins at 8:15 and the doors open at 8:00. PLEASE

get your students here on time. Late entry is not only disruptive to the class but is also a loss of

learning time for your children. Early dismissals have the same results: disruption and loss of

learning. Please make appointments outside of school hours.

Calling volunteers! We are looking for additional help at lunch and recess. If you have an hour

a day you could come in and give us a hand, we would really appreciate it. Stop in the office to

apply as a volunteer and let us know your availability.

Welcome to October! The weather is still looking good for the next few days. That’s something

we can’t always count on for October. I hope you are able to get outside and take advantage of

it.

The Prussing PTO Fall Scholastic book fair will take place on October 22nd 8:30-3pm, October 23rd 8:30-4pm and October 24th 8:30-3pm in the Prussing Gym. Stock up on books for the readathon and books make great gifts for the holidays!
