Headteachers Message
Dear Families
I hope this update finds you well. We have had another great week at Teddington, here are a few highlights.
Our recent open evening and mornings have been a tremendous success. We welcomed over 2,200 visitors across all of our events. It was wonderful to meet so many prospective students and their families, and we are extremely proud of how our students and staff showcased our school. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making these events run so smoothly.
Next week marks the beginning of mock exams for our Year 11 and Year 13 students. We know how hard youβve all been working in preparation for these important assessments, and we wish you the very best of luck.
As always, we have some fantastic sports results this week:
- Our U15 Middlesex Rugby Festival boys did tremendously well, coming away with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss from the day. Fantastic achievement!
- Year 9 Netball had a great week with a win of 26-1 against Hampton High
- Year 11 Netball also had a win against Hampton High of 13-6
- Our Year 7 girls football team defeated Hampton High 2-0
- Our Year 8 and 9 girls football team lost out on penalties in game that had everyone on the edge of their seats against Kingston Grammar School
Everyone that participated should be extremely proud of themselves.
With just five school days left before the well-deserved two-week break, I would like to remind everyone of the importance of strong attendance. Every lesson counts, especially as we head towards the half term break, can you please ensure your child attends school every day next week, we finish at 15:00 on Friday 18 October, and return for an 08:30 start on Monday 4 November.
Finally, Next Thursday, 17 October, the PTA will be hosting a Comedy and Curry night at the school. This promises to be a fantastic evening filled with laughter and some delicious food made by Cucina. Tickets are available via Classlist and food preferences need to be submitted by Monday, so please make sure you book your tickets and select your meal choices as soon as possible for this fantastic event supporting our school.
Thank you for your continued support, and I wish you all a restful and enjoyable weekend ahead.
Kind regards
Mr P Grills
