Note from your teacher
Hola familias,
Summer is fast approaching and we have started the last units in Spanish for this year!
- In kindergarten, we are finishing Unit 3 about the clothing and we are starting Unit 4 about the family.
- In first grade, we are finishing Unit 2 about hobbies and we are are starting Unit 3 about community and community helpers.
- In second grade, we are finishing Unit 2 about my life at home and soon we are starting Unit 3 about the rainforest.
- In third grade, we are finishing a mini-Unit about the alphabet and we are starting Unit 3 about my community Watertown.
- In fourth grade, we are finishing Unit 3 about hispanic houses around the world and we starting Unit 4 about the restaurant.
- In fifth grade, we are in Unit 3 about health.
*For families of students in 5th grade, take a moment to review some IMPORTANT language choice information at the bottom of this newsletter. The links have information about the language choices students have when they enter 6th grade. The last link is for the survey. We are going to present this information in class, but it is important for families to review it and fill out the survey not later than May 17.
We look forward to continue learning and practicing Spanish with your child(ren) as we approach the last weeks of this school year!

3. Do a healthy foods shopping list with your family in Spanish and use it in this dialog.
4. Take a movement break with this movement break.
5. Listen to this video , make a list of healthy habits and write in Spanish how often you do the habits. For example, " nunca hago yoga; siempre como vegetales..."
6. Practice describing items in your house using circumlocution skills to describe them.
