A Note from Ms. Looman
- Thank you to Rama Davis and Anna Turkle for serving as our family representatives for the Local Education Council (LEC)!
I'd like to give a huge shoutout to our PTO! Did you know that their hard work goes to benefit students directly? They plan and hold many community events that our students look forward to every year. Money raised from their events fund scholarships for graduating high school seniors, pay for bussing for field trips, buy new equipment for our playground, bring performers into our school, and help provide supplies to the classrooms.....and these are just a few ways that they help make our students school experience richer! Even if you are not able or interested in participating in meetings, there are LOTS of ways you can be involved including donating goods for events, participating in community events, volunteering to help at events, helping to spread the word about what the PTO is up to and so much more! Keep an eye on the PTO section of the newsletter to see what they're up to next!
Our fall assessment window is upon us. All students will be given math and literacy assessments, which will allow us to provide research-based interventions and extensions as needed. These assessments take just a few minutes and are administered three times a year to help inform our instruction.
