Message from the Principals
Skyline Families,
We are just one week away from the final chance to purchase tickets for our Inaugural Skyline Hall of Fame Event! The last day to buy tickets is Friday, February 21—don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this historic evening. This is the event of the year for our Skyline Family!
This event is more than just a dinner and program—it’s a celebration of the individuals who have made a lasting impact on Skyline and a launchpad for the first formal Skyline Alumni Organization. It’s a night of recognition, connection, and fun, and we would love to see as many of our Skyline family there as possible! The nomination for future Hall of Fame inductees will be released at the event.
🔗 Read the full article here for all the details!
Secure your tickets before it’s too late—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Go Eagles! 🦅
Recently we had a few tshirts made for the admin team and everyone loved them, so we created a poop up shop for everyone to be able to get one. Here is the link to the We Run This City gear. You can ship to your house or the school. The shop closes 2/27. ( See image on the right to see what the shirts look like)
Please read through the scheduling information below for students in grades 9-11. Lots of important info.
Enjoy your mid winter break! We will see you back Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Important! Course Requests for 25-26 School Year
Scheduling for 2025-26 School Year- Grades 9, 10 11
Students in grades 9, 10, 11 attended a scheduling presentation by the counseling department this week to prepare for the 2025-2026 scheduling process. Course selection sheets for the 2025-2026 school year were distributed in their skytime class as a hard copy. Electronic copies of the course selection worksheets were shared through grade-level Schoology groups and are also linked below for your reference. Over the next few weeks, please work with your child to select appropriate classes for next year.
Once classes have been selected, your child should input their selections into the online Powerschool course request portal prior to Thursday, Feb. 27 (please see linked directions for portal entry). The portal is now open. Course selections are due in the PowerSchool portal by Thursday, Feb. 27 at 8:00am. Remember all course requests must be input into PowerSchool as well as turned it into their Skytime teacher by Thursday, Feb. 27.
Counselors are available to assist with any scheduling questions through email, at lunches or by signing up on their clipboards in the SLC offices.
Please make sure that your child is selecting courses that they want to take. If you are in need of more information about a course, detailed course descriptions are available in the Student Services Guide which is located on the AAPS homepage linked here.
This course request process must be accurate so that our master schedule will meet the needs of our students. Please understand that if a class is not listed on a student's course request sheet, we will not create a seat for your child in that course.
In addition, when selecting courses please make sure that time commitments outside of school are factored in when choosing classes. For example, each AP class will require 1-2 hours per night of homework. If you are concerned about the time commitment please have your child speak with his/her counselor to determine appropriate course selections. We do not recommend taking more than 2 AP classes at a time. If your child chooses to go against our recommendation, we will be asking students and parents/guardians to sign off with the understanding that they will not be able to level drop those courses next year. We feel very strongly that taking more than 2 AP classes at a time doesn’t allow students to maintain a healthy balance of academics, extracurricular activities, and mental health.
Thank you for your attention to and input for your child's course selections for next year. Please let me or your child's counselor know if you have any questions or concerns as you work through the scheduling process.
