LHS 2.2.25

Dear LHS Families:
Semester 2 is now underway! The start of a new semester can be a fresh start for students, especially if they didn't do as well academically in semester 1 as they would have liked to/could have done. A huge part of their success is dependent upon their motivation, the development of their organizational skills, and your involvement and support of their education. It's highly important that all students regularly schedule time to complete homework, study for upcoming quizzes and tests, and connect with their teachers when they need clarity and/or help. HERE is a site that has some tips on how you can help your student(s) at home to improve their academic success overall.
LHS NAAPID Day
February 10th is National African American Parent Involvement Day. We are happy to welcome parents to join us this day to visit the school and your student's/students' classes. Please see HERE for more information on how to join us on this day.

HAPPENINGS AT LHS
Community Day at LHS
In March, Lincoln High School is going to have a Community Day where we will focus on building up our school community and strengthening our relationships as a school family for a few hours. Our teachers are sharing activities with our students from community service activities (like creating Gift of Life blankets for donor families and making and donating dog treats to the Humane Society), to fun activities (like cards, games, movies, cooking, gardening, and crafting), as well as options to practice mindfulness activities. Donations would be extremely helpful, so we are able to have materials for our activities. Please see the Amazon Wish List below to see how you can help! Thank you for supporting us. Go Splitters!
LHS Esports
Did you know that we have an Esports team at LHS? Check out the slides below for more details on this student club.
Power Within
Last Wednesday (1.29), our Link Crew leaders, along with Ignite Nation, spent the day with all of our 9th grader students at a Power Within assembly. Both students and staff had a great time connecting and working on ways to improve the culture and climate in our building! Some photos from the event are included below.
Supporting PBIS Rewards
Our PBIS Rewards program is getting a refresh, and we’d love support from our Lincoln community. We’ve created an Amazon Wish List to help recognize and reward students for their positive behavior. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact, and we deeply appreciate your generosity in helping us encourage our students to succeed. A huge thank you to those that have purchased from the list!
We’re also looking for sponsors for monthly schoolwide rewards—think donuts, cookies, or other fun treats that students will love. If you have creative ideas or would like to sponsor a reward, please email us at schwegler@lincolnk12.org. Together, we can make a difference!
