Transportation/Dismissal Plan Changes
We understand dismissal plans sometimes change. If this should occur, please complete a Parent Communication Form and email (lakek@sycamoreschools.org) or fax it to our front office by 3:00 pm. Our fax # 513-792-6112. The end of the day gets very busy for our office staff and we want to make sure that your children get where they need to be safely.
If your child is riding the bus home with another student, a parent communication form MUST be completed. Please do not send in a handwritten note, our bus drivers WILL NOT accept them. Extra Parent Communication Forms can be found on the district website, under “Transportation”, then “Forms”, or can be picked up at the front counter in our office.
*Do not email the teacher with transportation changes as they may not have an opportunity to check their email prior to the dismissal of students.
Thank you for helping us keep your child safe.
Girls on the Run Program Registration - Maple Dale Elementary
What is Girls on the Run?
Meeting twice a week in small teams, Girls on the Run teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The curriculum is taught by certified Girls on the Run coaches and includes three parts: understanding themselves, valuing relationships and teamwork, and understanding how girls connect with and shape the world at large.
This is not a running club or competitive. Girls on the Run is a physical activity, positive youth development program.

Reunification Plan - ICE
Dear Sycamore Families,
Sycamore Community Schools takes the safety and security of our staff and students very seriously. As part of an Ohio Revised Code requirement, the District is required to inform students and parents/guardians before the first day of school each year of our emergency parental notification protocols.
In the event of an emergency where an evacuation of the school building is necessary, students will be transported to safety at Sycamore Community Schools’ reunification site:
Blue Ash Recreation Center 4433 Cooper Rd. Blue Ash, OH 45242
Please watch this short video for important information on our reunification plan.
In the event of an evacuation, families should report to this location to pick up their student(s). A Reunification Information Document will be used in an event of an emergency where a reunification process is required. This document will be made available at the Blue Ash Rec Center to assist us in releasing your child to you.
In any emergency, we will disseminate information through our mass notification system, which includes phone calls, emails, mobile app alerts, as well as the district website and social media. Additionally, we will continue to provide updates through the above avenues as needed.
We are asking parents to verify their emergency contact information is up to date in Final Forms in order to be contacted in case of emergency. If you make any changes to your contact information in Final Forms, please confirm that the changes have been received by your child’s school by calling the front office.
PTO Corner
All Pro Dad Breakfast - 8/21
You are invited to the Maple Dale Elementary All Pro Dads breakfast on Wednesday August 21st from 8-9am in the school cafeteria. This free monthly breakfast is sponsored by fathers, Chick-fil-A, and the PTO.
Mr. Redlegs from the Reds will be our special guest on 8/21!
The meeting theme is leadership. Being a leader means seeing something that needs to be done and bringing people together to do it. A leader serves, gives directions, and inspires others to reach a goal. As an All Pro Dad you are a leader. The example of leadership you display is invaluable for teaching your children how to be a leader.
If attending please RSVP by noon on Monday August 19th via the link below so the correct amount of food is ordered.

Reminders- please do not walk your child to their classroom, please park down at the district offices to free parking spaces for staff members, and please be aware that a school delay or closure cancels the breakfast.
How would you like to be a Homeroom Parent?
Welcome back to school parents! At the beginning of the year, we look for volunteers to be Homeroom Parents for the classroom. We are looking for 2 homeroom parents for each class in K through 3rd grade. This is a very fun way to volunteer in the classroom. Some of the things a Homeroom Parent may help with are listed below. If you are interested, please see the registration form below !
Homeroom parents assist the classroom teacher when asked, with field trips, parties, and planned events. **Most common** Homeroom parents serve as a contact between the Maple Dale PTO, the teacher, and the classroom parents. Homeroom parents attempt to contact every family in the class regarding their opportunity to participate as a volunteer for the planned class events & other Maple Dale functions. Registration Form: https://forms.gle/khVw6YFX3TayPYxX7 Let Amanda Brauch know if you have any questions at brauch.amanda@gmail.com. Thank you for considering becoming a Homeroom Parent this year!

Sycamore Bridges Information
Sycamore Community Schools has launched a new effort to connects people who need help with those who can pitch in.
The district has connected with Neighborhood Bridges to start Sycamore Bridges, which will bridge the gap between students and families in need and local advocates and donors.
“Our community has a history of being incredibly generous,” said Karen Naber, Assistant Superintendent. “Sycamore Bridges will be a fantastic way to spread kindness, linking those in need with those who want to help.”
Counselors, teachers, administrators, and clergy who learn about needs can post them on the Sycamore Bridges website. Requests can be for anything from financial assistance to clothing, food, and furniture needs. Those who want to help can sign up to fill the needs. It's all anonymous and helping is as simple as clicking a button.
Donors can drop off items at the Blue Ash Fire Station 13 on Kenwood Road or the Montgomery Fire Station on Montgomery Road.
“We want to remove barriers so kids can come to school every day ready to learn,” said Lori Drasnin, Sycamore Bridges Director.
Anyone can sign up to be a donor. Click here to learn more information. Be sure to follow Sycamore Bridges on Facebook and Twitter.
