Message from Principal Stevens -- MCA Testing
MCA Testing Begins Next Week!
6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are scheduled to take the MCAs in the coming weeks. Please see the schedule below:
April 15th-17th: Reading MCA (6th, 7th, 8th)
April 22nd-24th: Math MCA (6th, 7th, 8th)
April 29th-May 1st: Science MCA (8th grade only)
Test Day Reminders:
Testing will take place in their ELA, Math, and Science classrooms over the course of three class periods; however, it is an un-timed test, and students have as much time as needed.
The exam will be entirely online; students must bring their school-issued Chromebook FULLY CHARGED to take the test.
Students must stay in their testing room until the end of the period.
Students should bring materials to work on if they finish before being released from the testing session.
Students should bring headphones that plug directly into their Chromebooks (no Bluetooth headphones).
Students may not bring cell phones or smartwatches into the testing room.
We ask that all students get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast on the test date.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Thank you!

Girls' Hockey 7th Grade Student Wins Player of the Year Award!
A big congratulations to 7th grade student, Jozie Kelzenberg, for winning the Sue Ring-Jarvi Player of the Year award!
One of several standouts on a loaded Centennial/Spring Lake Park 12A squad, Kelzenberg has reached double-digits in two separate events this season. She had eight goals and 13 points during this year's Centennial Girls Super Chill, then followed that performance with an eight-goal, 13-point outing as the Cougars romped to three wins in the East Region.
Kelzenberg led Centennial/Spring Lake Park to over 50 wins on the season and a runner-up finish at this year's 12A State Tournament. In games tracked by GameSheet this season, Kelzenberg totaled 72 points in 48 games, including two goals and four points in three state tournament games.

E-Hall Passes and Early Releases
If you need to pick your child up from school before the end of the school day, please make sure you fill out an Attendance Request in Campus Parent Portal. Students will then receive an appointment pass in E-Hallpass. Please remind your child to check their E-Hallpass every hour.
Unless it's a last-minute emergency, please also give your student a reminder before they go to school if you are picking them up early. As a second scoop, you are welcome to text them if they have a cell phone, as most students check their phones between class periods and at lunch. You may also email your child using their school email address as well.
Centennial Resource Locker
