March 8 and 11
PRHS final exams are half days due to the importance of the assessments and to provide students with ample studying time. Students will arrive at school during regular hours, but they will leave at 11:20. The busses will take them home at this time. Also, we do not serve lunch on these days. Final Exams cannot be given early. Please remind your students that they need to bring their Chromebook fully charged for final exams.

PRHS Literary Magazine is accepting original student writing and art submissions through the end of February. Please submit creative work through our Google Classroom-- Join code is v55zwrc. Students must your GCPS Google Account to join.
Dr. Watts visits PRHS Esports
Superintendent Dr. Watts visited with our State Champion E-Sports team, as they have their first game of the new season. He wants to see how it all works and will feature them on and upcoming spot on “Coffee with Calvin” on GCPS TV.
EES Family Survey
Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families about their school experience. The district will give the Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) to get feedback on nine characteristics of high-performing schools.

Peachtree Ridge CARE Closet
We have a variety of shelf-stable pantry items and some hygiene products available for families in need.
Families are welcome to come shop our CARE closet, or we can prepare bags for them. Our office is happy to have these ready for pick-up or drop-off at a family's residence or a discrete location.

Prom Information
Junior and Senior Parents!
Prom is only 2.5 months away and all preparations are underway! Ask your student if they are interesting in attending Prom this year!
Please note the following:
- Prom tickets can be purchased on GoFan for $90 each.
- Every attendee must have a ticket.
- Students can purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per ID number.
- All guests must be between the ages of 14-20 and will need to show ID at Prom (driver's license or school ID card/ StudentVue are acceptable forms of ID).
- Ticket sales will close on April 1 (this is 2 weeks before Prom. Spring Break and getting final numbers to the vendor are the reasons for the close on April 1).
- There will be no ticket sales the week of Prom. Please plan accordingly!
- On April 10-12, students will pick up physical Prom tickets at lunch, their envelope will contain ticket(s) and parking information for the GA Aquarium.

GOFAN for Event Tickets
Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.

Ridge Dance Competes at State
Please congratulate the Ridge Dance Team for coming in 2nd place in Hip Hop at the state level competition this weekend.
The Dance team had the 3rd Overall highest score at GHSA Dance Team Competition 7A.
State Swimming
Overall girls placed 13th in state
Overall boys placed 24th in state
Individual Performances include:
- Hannah Sakaris 26th in 200 free
- Hannah Sakaris 8th in 500 free
- Rakel Becraft 7th in 200 IM
- Rakel Becraft 11th in 100 breast
- Natalia Amescua broke the 200 IM record and placed 2nd at state

- Matt Adams 41st in 100 fly
- Matt Townsend 31st in 50 free

- Hayden Shelton placed 4th in diving
Wrestling
Girls - Roe Lunceford placed 5th in the Sectional Tournament last weekend and is headed to the 2024 State tournament.
Boys - Jude Pruitt and Devonte Aviles (126) are State alternates after their Sectional performance.

PTSA Senior Scholarship
The PRHS PTSA is thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring one scholarship for a PRHS senior this year! The value of the scholarship is $500 to be paid directly to your college/university.
In keeping with our policy of providing quality education for young people, PRHS PTSA goes one step further by assisting a qualified senior student who wishes to continue their education beyond high school. See attached scholarship application for details.
ELIGIBILITY
A student is eligible to apply for the Peachtree Ridge High School PTSA Scholarship if he/she:
- Is a graduating senior at Peachtree Ridge High School
- The student and at least 1 adult from their household must be a PRHS PTSA member
- If you are not sure if you are a member, please contact the PTSA as soon as possible (peachtreeridgeptsa@gmail.com). If you need to become a member, you must join no later than March 1, 2024. Go to https://jointotem.com/ga/suwanee/peachtree-ridge-hs-ptsa to join. Memberships are $10.
- Has been accepted or has applied and is awaiting acceptance* to a two year or four year college / university or career ready program.
- Has a satisfactory scholastic record.
- Incomplete forms may be disqualified.
Senior Google Classroom
Senior families, it is strongly recommended that every senior joins the Google Classroom. Each senior was sent an invitation to their School Gmail. This is where information about graduation, events, and other important opportunities will be posted! This is your chance to stay updated and participate in your senior year! Seniors, make sure you share the information on the Google classroom with your families.

Senior Yard Signs are not part of senior dues and can be purchased on MyPaymentsPlus for $25.

Definition: ParentSquare is a unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your child’s school and Gwinnett County Public Schools. ParentSquare provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to receive and send information. StudentSquare is the student version of ParentSquare.

PRHS Driver's Ed FAQs
What are the class meeting dates?
Session 3: 3/12, 3/14, 3/19, 3/21, 3/26, 3/28
When and where does class meet?
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3-8pm in Room B206
Do I need to attend every class to earn credit for Driver's Ed?
YES! You must be present at ALL classes to earn credit.
What should I bring to class?
You will need to bring a pencil, water bottle, and dinner or a snack.
What is the deadline to register?
The deadline to register for Session 3 is 3/11 at 11:59 pm.
When do I get to practice driving?
Students will be scheduled for 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction after completing the class and passing the final exam. Times are scheduled based on student and instructor availability.
What does the class cost?
The cost is $345 for the in-person class and 6 hours driving time.
The cost is $280 for just the 6 hours driving time.

Gwinnett County Internship Program
Gwinnett County Government is seeking applications for their Empower Gwinnett Internship Program. The application deadline is March 18. This is a four-week paid internship opportunity for ages 15-21.
Suwanee Youth Leaders Program
The City of Suwanee is accepting applications for the Suwanee Youth Leaders Leadership program for current freshman and sophomores.. Applications open February 15 and close March 31 at Suwanee Youth Leadership
