A Message From Mr. Tullio 3/6/25
Greetings Black Forest Hills Community,
This week, our fifth graders had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a special performance from Cherokee Trail High School’s jazz choir! It was an inspiring experience to see these talented students, some who went to Black Forest Hills, share their passion for music, and it was a great reminder of the many opportunities available as students continue their educational journey.
Being involved in activities—whether it’s music, sports, dance, art, or any other extracurricular—plays a vital role in a child’s growth. Participation not only enhances academic success but also strengthens social-emotional well-being and builds lasting friendships. Finding something you love and staying engaged can make a big difference throughout school and beyond.
I encourage all of our students to explore their interests, try something new, and stay involved as they continue their education. The experiences they gain now will help shape their confidence, teamwork, and resilience for years to come!
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow and thrive!
Go Owls!

Join us for Around the World with BFHE + Silent Auction!
April 11th from 5 - 7 pm
We will be celebrating and exploring different cultures and we invite you to share your culture with us by hosting a booth. Booths are welcome to include- food (please list allergy information and ingredients), a craft, activity (ie. traditional dances), music, storytelling, presentation, or just general information on your culture! We hope to showcase as many cultures as possible so anything is welcome! Please see the link below to sign up for a booth.
If you cannot host a booth, we invite you to attend to learn and celebrate with us! Adult supervision is required and it is not a drop off event. During the event we will also be hosting a silent auction fundraiser with goodies and experiences from amazing local businesses. We look forward to seeing you there!

BFHE Important Updates
Pick Up/Drop Off Information
Main Parking Lot Drop Off/Pick Up:
• Please do not park along the sidewalk areas (they are marked with red paint).
• If you walk up to pick up/drop off your child (like preschool or kindergarten), please park in a parking spot.
• Please follow the signs and “Please Pull All The Way Forward” and "Line Starts Here" when dropping off or picking up so we can move cars quickly through the line.
• Please do not get out of your car in the drop off lane as it disrupts the flow of traffic.
• Please do not turn left coming out of our parking lot during pick up and drop off as it is a hazard.
• Please have students exit on the passenger side of the car because there will be cars passing in the left lane.
• Once your student has exited the vehicle, please pull into the left lane to exit the parking lot. Parking On Glasgow:
• Please do not make U turns on Glasgow at anytime during the day as this is unsafe and against the law unless otherwise posted.
Bus Loop:
• There is no parking during drop off/pick up in the bus loop as we have four busses that need this space for safe parking, drop off and pick up.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our kids safe.

Bus Information
The Cherry Creek School District uses a transportation software program to increase safety, parent communication, and bus route efficiency. Students are issued an RFID card that they must scan to ride the bus. If your student does not have a card, the driver will get their name and make sure they get a card.
There is a new and improved transportation app for families called My Ride K-12 that provides valuable information about your child’s bus route, including estimated arrival and departure times for your child’s bus. You will be able to see your student’s route information by August 1, 2024.
Please download the My Ride K-12 app from your favorite app store and log in to your child’s account. You can log in with your existing Ride360 username and password.
You can download the app here:
● My Ride K-12 – Apple App Store (iOS)
● My Ride K-12 – Google Play Store (Android)
For more information: check out the Parent User Guide:
Get the Parent User Guide in other languages here.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, please check your child’s bus route information. Bus route times and locations can change from year to year. The times you will see are bus stop departure times. Please have your child at their bus stop ready to board five minutes early.
If you have questions about your child’s bus route, please email
CCSDrouting@cherrycreekschools.org or call 720-554-4664, option 1, and leave a message. Email will get the fastest response and we will return calls within 24-48 hours. You can also find information on the Transportation webpage.
For other questions, please contact Teresa Peterson at tpeterson4@cherrycreekschools.org or 720-554-4647.
