A Message From Mr. Tullio 1/31/25
Greetings Black Forest Hills Community,
At Black Forest Hills, we believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and creatively. Over the past week, our students have showcased their incredible talents in so many ways, proving once again that our school community is filled with bright, passionate, and creative young minds!
Our students showed their school spirit and creativity through their participation in Wish Week dress-up days. From wacky outfits to themed ensembles, it was wonderful to see the joy and enthusiasm our students brought to the hallways each day. Their engagement and excitement helped make this week a truly special experience!
What an unforgettable night at our annual Talent Show! Our students took the stage and wowed us with their performances—singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, magic tricks, comedy, and so much more. Their confidence and passion for sharing their gifts were evident, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every performer!
A huge shoutout to the talented students who designed and created the stunning Lunar New Year lions and dragons. Their hard work, dedication, and artistic skills brought cultural traditions to life, helping us all learn and appreciate the beauty of this celebration. Seeing their artwork was truly inspiring!
We are incredibly proud of our students who coached their peers with special needs in the Red Shirt Rookies basketball game. Our 4th and 5th grade students learned what it meant to play side by side with their peers, inspiring them through collaboration, teamwork, and encouragement. It was a heartwarming experience that truly embodied the spirit of inclusivity and support within our school community!
Congratulations to our brilliant spellers who represented Black Forest Hills in the district-wide Spelling Bee! Their dedication, hard work, and impressive vocabulary skills shined as they competed against students from across the district. We are so proud of their achievements and the way they represented our school!
We know that education is not just about textbooks and tests. It’s about fostering a love for learning, celebrating creativity, and making meaningful memories along the way. Our students are not only excelling academically but also having fun while they learn and grow. Thank you for your continued support in making Black Forest Hills a place where students can thrive in every way!
Go Owls!

Pick Up/Drop Off Information
Main Parking Lot Drop Off/Pick Up:
• Please do not park along the sidewalk areas (they are marked with red paint).
• If you walk up to pick up/drop off your child (like preschool or kindergarten), please park in a parking spot.
• Please follow the signs and “Please Pull All The Way Forward” and "Line Starts Here" when dropping off or picking up so we can move cars quickly through the line.
• Please do not get out of your car in the drop off lane as it disrupts the flow of traffic.
• Please do not turn left coming out of our parking lot during pick up and drop off as it is a hazard.
• Please have students exit on the passenger side of the car because there will be cars passing in the left lane.
• Once your student has exited the vehicle, please pull into the left lane to exit the parking lot. Parking On Glasgow:
• Please do not make U turns on Glasgow at anytime during the day as this is unsafe and against the law unless otherwise posted.
Bus Loop:
• There is no parking during drop off/pick up in the bus loop as we have four busses that need this space for safe parking, drop off and pick up.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our kids safe.

Bus Information
The Cherry Creek School District uses a transportation software program to increase safety, parent communication, and bus route efficiency. Students are issued an RFID card that they must scan to ride the bus. If your student does not have a card, the driver will get their name and make sure they get a card.
There is a new and improved transportation app for families called My Ride K-12 that provides valuable information about your child’s bus route, including estimated arrival and departure times for your child’s bus. You will be able to see your student’s route information by August 1, 2024.
Please download the My Ride K-12 app from your favorite app store and log in to your child’s account. You can log in with your existing Ride360 username and password.
You can download the app here:
● My Ride K-12 – Apple App Store (iOS)
● My Ride K-12 – Google Play Store (Android)
For more information: check out the Parent User Guide:
Get the Parent User Guide in other languages here.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, please check your child’s bus route information. Bus route times and locations can change from year to year. The times you will see are bus stop departure times. Please have your child at their bus stop ready to board five minutes early.
If you have questions about your child’s bus route, please email
CCSDrouting@cherrycreekschools.org or call 720-554-4664, option 1, and leave a message. Email will get the fastest response and we will return calls within 24-48 hours. You can also find information on the Transportation webpage.
For other questions, please contact Teresa Peterson at tpeterson4@cherrycreekschools.org or 720-554-4647.
