New Principal
I am truly humbled, grateful, and excited to begin my journey as the new Principal of Aledo High School. With 23 years of experience in public education, I feel extremely fortunate to join this amazing community. I look forward to meeting all of you—our wonderful staff, students, and community members—to build strong relationships and celebrate the rich traditions and culture of Aledo High School.
Please see the newsletter below and mark your calendar for New Student Night on August 12. We will have a brief meeting in the AHS Auditorium for students and parents new to AHS, followed by an opportunity to tour the campus and find classes. I look forward to meeting many new faces soon.
About Me:
This year marks my twenty third year in public education and my fourteenth year as an administrator. My career began as a junior high teacher and coach, before advancing to the high school level. After several years of teaching and coaching football and baseball, I transitioned into campus administration, serving as both an assistant principal and principal at the junior high level before moving to high school administration.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education from McMurry University in Abilene, TX, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
This summer, my wife and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. She also works in public education in HEB ISD as the coordinator of early childhood. We are proud parents of 14-year-old twin girls who will also be Aledo Bearcats this year!
I am excited to serve the Aledo community and lead Aledo High School. Should you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at Mmartinak@aledoisd.org or by phone at 817-441-8711. You can also Visit our website for more information.
Warm regards,
Michael Martinak
