Role Models of Character Education
Each month, our DTS students will discuss and learn about a character education trait.
September's character education trait was Responsibility.
A student from each PK-5 homeroom and Gr 6-8 content area was chosen because he/she demonstrated responsibility this month and a role model for others.
Congratulations to all of the recipients below!
In October, we will highlight students who demonstrate Respect!

It is never too early to start planning! If you are an 8th grade parent/guardian, and you'd like to be on a committee to plan for the 8th grade dance at the end of the year, please fill out this form.

October is a very busy month! There are many weeks of observation that we will celebrate at Delaware Township School!
Week of Respect is up first...and it's next week! It will be celebrated from October 7th to October 11th. Each day has a designated theme where we will celebrate having respect for ourselves and others. All students and staff are encouraged to participate! Students will also participate in "Chalk It Up to Respect" during recess time.
Students will attend a respect assembly during the week.

MS Assembly: The Course to Digital Consciousness
School Violence Awareness Week is October 18th to October 22th.
and Red Ribbon Week is October 23rd to Oct 31th.
During these weeks, we will highlight the importance of making good choices and using positive coping skills.
We will also be continuing our "ROARRRINGl" cards recognition program to catch students in the act of doing something right!
Elementary chorus rehearsals have begun! They are held for interested 4th and 5th graders on
Wednesday mornings at 8:10am until the 11th of December.
Staff Spotlight
This year, we have several new staff members that have joined the DTS team! For the next few weeks, we will spotlight a new staff member and get to know them a little more!

Personal Info:
Mrs. Domurat is married with three daughters (Two who still attend DTS!). She attended College of the Holy Cross and has a dog (Tank), a guinea pig (Moose) and two cats (Pumpkin & Patch).
Interests and/or hobbies:
Mrs. Domurat love plants, so she often explores nurseries and outdoors spaces.
Favorites:
Favorite Food: Any kind of Thai food
Favorite place to go: Cape Cod
What makes a 'good' day at school?
"A class full of calm bodies, fun stories to share and eager listening ears."

"Encouragement, despite the outcome, from my family, friends and colleagues after trying new things."

If you would like something published in the newsletter, please email your submission to slipson@dtsk8nj.org by each Tuesday at 3:30pm. Please include the length of time you'd like your information to be in the newsletter.
All submissions must be approved by the school administration
before being included in the newsletter.
