Appointments and Early Releases
Students are not to leave school during the day without the permission of and notification to the main office. A phone call or telephone message will NOT be an accepted way to have your student released from school. There are two ways that a student can sign out of the building:
Students MUST have a handwritten, signed note, from a Skyward approved parent/guardian, stating the requested dismissal time along with their telephone number in the event any questions arise. An email to attendance (PJJacobs-Attendance@pointschools.net) can be an accepted ‘note’ for early dismissal if the email comes from a Skyward approved contact. The email will be forwarded to student & teacher alerting them of the early release.
At the specific time to be released, the student should show the note to the teacher, go to their locker to get whatever they need, and then report to the main office with their note to sign out of the building. Once the student is signed out, they may meet their parent outside at an arranged pick-up location. If a parent/guardian does not send a note, parents/guardians must report directly to the Main Office through the security door (Door #1 - see photo below). Please bring a form of identification. Staff will assist in getting your student UPON your arrival. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early in order to have sufficient time to arrive to any appointments as it may take time to locate your student depending on their location.
Students will only be allowed to leave the school in the company of a parent, legal guardian or an individual specified as an emergency contact. Exceptions to this rule can only occur if parents or legal guardians contact school prior to the student’s departure. Administrative permission may be requested.

Main Office Doorbell
The doorbell to the Main Office has moved! You may still enter the building via Door #1 (please see picture above); however, the doorbell is now on the OUTSIDE of the building instead of inside the vestibule. Please ring the doorbell (white button) on the wall.
**If you are coming to pick up a student, please be sure to bring a form of identification with you**

Cubs Club
Cubs Club: A New Beginning for Our Youngest Learners
The Stevens Point Area Public School District (SPAPSD) is excited to introduce the Cubs Club Early Registration Program, designed to connect with our youngest future students and their families. Aimed at children from birth to four years old, the Cubs Club focuses on laying the foundation for a successful transition into school by offering tailored resources, support, and engagement opportunities.
Why Cubs Club?
We understand that the early years are crucial in a child’s development, and we want to ensure that every child in our community gets off to a strong start. The Cubs Club is our way of reaching out to families early, providing them with personalized resources that align with the developmental needs of young children. By joining the Cubs Club, families will stay informed about important school district events, early childhood screenings, and other opportunities that support a smooth transition into their educational journey.
A Word from Our Superintendent
“We are delighted to introduce the Cubs Club to our community,” said Cory Hirsbrunner, Superintendent of SPAPSD. “This program represents our commitment to every student, starting from the very beginning of their educational experience. By engaging families early, we can build strong, positive relationships that will support our students throughout their time with us.”
How Cubs Club Benefits Families
As a member of the Cubs Club, families will receive access to valuable child development resources, ensuring that they have the tools and information needed to support their child’s early growth. Additionally, the program is designed to foster a sense of belonging and trust, making sure that every child feels welcomed and prepared as they step into our schools.
Join the Cubs Club Today!
Enrollment in the Cubs Club is easy and open to all families with children from birth to four years old.
