Teacher Spotlight
Ms. Herrera
Hi! My name is Cali Herrera. This is my 4th year teaching. I currently teach 6th grade ELA and I've taught dyslexia and yearbook as well. This is my first year at Woodridge and I've had such an amazing year here! I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017 and later decided I wanted to be a teacher. After teaching for two years, I felt my true calling was to become a school counselor and I began school for that. I will be graduating in December 2024 with my Masters in School Counseling from Lamar University and I couldn't be more excited. I have an amazing and supportive fiancé and we will be tying the knot in August of 2025. I will also gain two beautiful bonus daughters! I love to read, travel, hang out with friends, family, and of course, my French Bulldogs. I am so blessed to be on such a supportive campus and part of the Woodridge Family!
Mr. Castaneda
Hi there! I'm Reynaldo Castaneda, and I've been teaching Texas history at WFMS for three years now. My degree in history and Latin American studies from the University of Houston have fueled my lifelong passion for the subject. I find great joy in sharing this passion with my students and exploring the rich history of Texas's past with them.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our one-year-old daughter. We are active in our church, enjoy traveling, and enjoy the peaceful moments at our family ranch. These experiences enrich my perspective and allow me to bring diverse insights into the classroom.
Ms. Klein
Greetings and salutations! I am Ms. Klein, Beginning Art teacher extraordinaire. I graduated from Sam Houston State University, have been in education for 15 years (most of it in elementary), and this is my 10th year teaching art. I enjoy taking pictures in nature, hanging out with my dog, traveling (when able), and doing nerdy things with other nerds at nerdy events.
