Jarrell ISD Monday Memo
March 31, 2025
Cougars,
April is a busy month filled with many important events, including the high school prom, our first Fun Run and Egg Hunt, the Special Olympics, and more. But April is also our end-of-year testing period. Campuses across the district will begin taking the STAAR and End of Course (EOC) state assessments.
State testing is important because it helps measure student learning, ensures accountability, and identifies areas for improvement in education. These tests provide valuable data to schools, teachers, and parents to assess whether students meet academic standards. They also help guide decisions on curriculum, resources, and interventions to support student success.
Testing dates vary depending on the grade level. Below is a copy of the schedule to download. Mark the dates down on your calendar because our campuses are closed to visitors during state testing. Campuses will send out reminders of the testing dates and other important information.
Attitude Affects Ability
Having the right mindset before you take a test is important. Remember to:
Pack your backpack the night before

Eat a healthy breakfast
