
Stop the Summer Slide!

Not the slide into summer, but coming back...
We spent a lot of time teaching this year. Let's curb that loss.
As students return to school this fall, many of them, perhaps especially those from historically disadvantaged student groups, will be starting the academic year with achievement levels lower than where they were at the beginning of summer break. This phenomenon, sometimes referred to as summer learning loss, or summer setback, has been of interest to education researchers going back as far as 1906. (reference link)
Check out these resources to keep your K-11 students learning this summer.
I mean, you could try with the seniors, but you know, let them celebrate.
