A Message From the Principal:
Dear East Elementary Parents & Guardians:
As we kick off a new school year, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for all your support and patience. Starting a new school year always comes with its challenges, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure a smooth and successful beginning for our students. We have had a great beginning this school year!
We are excited to invite you to two upcoming opportunities to get involved at our school! First, we have our first PTO meeting of the school year tomorrow, Monday, September 3rd, at 5:30 PM in the school cafeteria. This is a wonderful chance to hear from me directly, elect our PTO officers, and begin planning for an incredible school year together.
Additionally, we are hosting our WATCH D.O.G.S. meeting on Tuesday, September 17th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, also in the school cafeteria. We encourage all dads to join us for this important evening and sign up to be part of this impactful program. Our goal is to fill the WATCH D.O.G.S. calendar for the first semester!
Things are off to a fantastic start here at East. Our teachers are truly the best, dedicating themselves every day to making a difference for our students. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued support!

Upcoming Events
Tuesday, September 3rd
- PTO Meeting in Cafeteria @ 5:30pm
Tuesday, September 17th
- WatchDogs Meeting @ 6:00pm in cafeteria (see description below)
Come Be a WatchDOG
WATCH D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S.® school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. On the day of their participation, WatchDOGS are given a brief review of their involvement and they wear an official WATCH D.O.G.S. tshirt and lanyard that identifies them as school Watch D.O.G.
So we need all dads, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures to come learn more about this program, have some pizza with us, and sign up to help! We will meet on Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00pm in our school cafeteria! See you then!
End of Day Procedures
Thank you for letting us know how your student will get home each day. We start our dismissal process shortly after 3:00pm each day. If you need to change the way your student will get home, please call and let the office know before 2:30pm. This way, we can get a "change of transportation" note from the office to your child's teacher. Teachers may not make changes to the way your child gets home without receiving this note from the office. In addition, students will not be released between 3:00pm and 3:20pm, as they will be in dismissal transition. Thank you for helping us out with this!
Needing to Make Skyward Changes?
Take a look if you need help learning how to add and change emergency contacts and also add people that are able to check out a student.
