A Note from the Principal
Good Afternoon Families:
Spring sports officially kicked off on Monday, marking the end of winter and the start of an exciting new season! With the weather finally turning and signs of spring all around, it's hard to believe we're already planning for the end-of-year events.
There's a noticeable energy in the building as students get involved in spring activities, performances, and athletics. This time of year always brings a renewed sense of excitement and momentum, and we’re looking forward to everything the coming months have in store.
Please remember to check the class pages located toward the bottom of this SMORE newsletter. These pages are regularly updated with important dates and upcoming activities—including field trips, celebrations, and graduation details—so we encourage you to refer to them often.
This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our rising 7th grade families to the MHS community. It was wonderful to see so many of you at the event, and we’re excited to have your students join us next year. Thank you for taking the time to visit and learn more about our school.
Looking ahead, our sophomores will begin their ELA MCAS testing next Tuesday. It’s important that all students are present, well-rested, and ready to do their best. Thank you for helping ensure they arrive on time and prepared.
As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership. We’re looking forward to a strong finish to the school year and appreciate all you do to help keep our students engaged, supported, and successful.
Have a great week!
Brenda Erhardt
Pentucket MHS Principal

Tuesday 3/25 for Dangers of Vaping: What Parents Need to Know!
This year, vaping, tobacco and nicotine use among youth and young adults are still major concerns. Every day, more and more discreet vapes enter the market. They are meant to sneak past adults by camouflaging as common household objects, video games, toys, and school supplies.
Behind the enticing flavors and flashy colors of e-cigarettes are harmful chemicals and nicotine addiction. Now is the time to remain vigilant and learn the essentials to help kids avoid or quit vaping! Our virtual presentation Dangers of Vaping: What Parents Need to Know will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at 6:00pm Eastern Time. At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Understand and recognize tobacco industry tactics targeting youth
- Explain the dangers of nicotine e-cigarettes/vapes, non-nicotine vapes, and other new tobacco products
- Know the steps to protect youth and how to advise others to get involved
- Know how to take action in your own communities
Make sure to register for this FREE event held on March 25th. It is open to all, including parents, people who work with youth, and others. The recording will be available to all registrants after the webinar. If you are looking to help fight this cause, please click here to donate.
