Leadership Message
One Year-One Word…
As we entered a new year with joy and anticipation, we paused to reflect on what the year will hold for us, how we want to embrace this gift of time, and who do we want to be in 2020. To truly be the masterpiece God has created in each one of us, new beginnings offer us an opportunity to renew our hearts and spirits for growth. Sometimes to determine who we are called to be challenges us to be still and listen.
Our staff and some classes have taken on the one word challenge for 2020, reflecting on how and who they want to be this year. Their words are powerful and show the depth of how kids can reflect if you open the door.
Whatever our word may be, we know that it is through our one God that ALL is possible and we can be the masterpiece He calls us to be to Love-First, Last and Always.
“I beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, who is above all and through all and in all”. -Ephesians 4:1-6
Blessings,
Mrs. Boehm

We LOVE to Read...Who was it? Who will it be?
This week our Mystery Reader was Mrs. Y. Morin, Grade 2 Teacher, who shared a favourite library story that she read to her daughters about feeling afraid at night and how to overcome that.
See if you can guess who next year's first Mystery Reader is?
Parents: please do not cross parking lot at any time. Students must use the pathways and crosswalks. Visibility is limited between cars in the parking lot. We need to keep all of our kids safe.

January Reading Challenge: One Week Left!
Following in the footsteps of our school saint, Saint John XXIII, who devoted at least ten minutes a day to reading, we are challenging our students to read every day at home for at least ten minutes and celebrating this with a chance to win a new book of their choice. We will draw a total of 15 students (5 at each assembly for the next three weeks).
Have fun reading!
Congratulations to our reading Winners!
Accountability Pillar Survey
Alberta Education will be conducting the annual Accountability Pillar Survey in January. Parents and students in grade 4-8 will complete the survey. Families will receive a mailed survey from Alberta Education in the month of January and students will complete the survey at school. As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education to ensure that we are equipping students for success.
