Hello Kinder families!

Welcome to our Kinder Newsletter! We will be updating this page every Friday with important reminders, dates, and our learning objectives!

📝Updates:

• ATTENTION: SVE will be offering Ballet Folklorico classes! Please click here for the flyer for more info. Click here to register. It is only $30 a month!
• Reminder: No school on Monday 1/20/25 due to MLK Jr. Day
• Today we sent out middle for year MAP reports. Please check your child's take home folder, or binder.
• Please remember to dress your student appropriately for the weather. They have not gone outside in PE, but we do go to recess if the windchill (feels like temp.) is above 30 degrees F and it is not raining. We have not gone outside the past few days due to the cold and rainy weather.

🔔Reminders

• THURSDAY: Wear a college/university shirt! 🎓
• FRIDAY: Wear a SVE cheetah shirt! Show your Cheetah Pride! The class with the most school spirit on Fridays gets to keep the big cheetah in their room all week! 🐆
• As a reminder, the trip to Spain is still on, and we can’t wait for you to experience this amazing adventure! From the stunning architecture of Barcelona to the vibrant streets of Madrid, this is your chance to immerse you and your family in the beauty, culture and flavors of Spain. If you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s the time to make it happen. The last day to enroll is March 27, 2025 so don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience! For additional assistance, feel free to reach out to Ms. Delgado (alba.delgado@austinisd.org) or Ms. Arriaza (maya.arriaza@austinisd.org). It has been getting very cold outside! Please make sure you are sending your child with appropriate clothes for the weather. We suggest you label jackets and coats in case they get lost.
• Please send your child with a water bottle to school every day. The water bottle should be labeled with the student's, and teacher's name. This will help us in case they misplace it
• Our students go to P.E. every day. They should come to school wearing shoes that they can run and exercise in.

🔬Ciencias:Yo puedo observar y describir cambios en el estado del tiempo de un día a otro y a lo largo de las estaciones del año.

➕Matemáticas: Yo puedo comparar números hasta 20.

📚Artes de Lenguaje en Español: Yo puedo hacer predicciones sobre un cuento.

🔠Destrezas Fundamentales: Yo puedo leer y escribir sílabas con /r/ media.
