I hope this message finds you well. As we tackle the 2nd semester of the new year, I wanted to take a moment to address the topic of state testing. State testing for grades 2nd – 5th has always been an important part of our education system, providing valuable insights into student progress and helping us identify areas for improvement. ACAP testing will begin late March and continue through early April.

First, I want to assure you that the well-being and academic success of our students is our top priority. We are committed to creating a supportive and conducive learning environment, that allows students to thrive and reach their full potential. Additionally, we encourage open communication between students, parents, and teachers to address any worries or questions. Our dedicated staff is here to provide support and guidance throughout the ACAP testing process. Lastly, I want to emphasize that state testing is just one measure of a student's academic progress. It does not define their abilities or potential. Our focus remains on providing a well-rounded education that nurtures the whole child, including their social, emotional, and creative development.

As we move forward into the new year, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and partnership. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school administration. We are here to support you. Parents and students were on display for the 3rd Annual Walk the Runway Ceremony. Parents and students were strutting down the runway showcasing their first semester accomplishments.

Spend about 15-20 minutes each day practicing. Students that show math fact proficiency will be invited to the Math Fact Proficiency Party on December 8th. This is a party that you DO NOT want your child to miss!

ALL students should be dressed in their proper uniform each day.

• Read with your child for at least 15 to 20 minutes nightly. Ask the following comprehension questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
• Practice Basic Facts nightly.
• Practice Sight Words nightly.
• Check your child's grades in Schoology regularly.
• Teacher/Parent Conferences: If you have concerns regarding your child's academic progress please contact your child's teacher via Remind.
