Red Deer City Recreation Family Pass

Notre Dame families are invited to sign out a City of Red Deer Recreation Pass. This pass provides families with access to various city amenities (swimming, skating, tracks, etc.) that can be used by the whole family, free of charge. Students can sign out these passes from our Learning Commons for a week at a time. Please check with the librarians to sign up for this free resource!

Red Deer Catholic Schools has partnered with The Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) and Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) to offer two nights for students and their parents to explore careers and post-secondary opportunities in Engineering Technologies.

RDCRS students who are interested in exploring future careers in STEM-related career pathways can join educational professionals on October 8th or 9th to meet and ask questions of local professionals and post-secondary schools.

What is an Engineering Technologist?

Engineering Technology is a branch of engineering that focuses on using scientific and engineering principles to solve real-world problems through practical, hands-on applications. While traditional engineering might involve designing and creating new technologies, engineering technology focuses more on how to use, improve, and maintain those technologies.

Engineers are inventors, designing new ideas for machines, bridges, or software.
Engineering technologists are skilled problem solvers, they figure out how to make sure those inventions work in the real world. They know how to operate the machines, troubleshoot problems, and improve designs to make them more efficient.
