AMAZING FIRST DAY in Argyle ISD!!
Argyle ISD started the first day of the 2024-2025 school year with amazing excitement around the district! The District topped 6,000 students on the seven campuses. AISD grew more than 500 students since the end of the last school year in May.
This year was historic with the opening of our fourth elementary campus, which is located in the Harvest community. The new Jane Ruestmann Elementary opened its doors Wednesday for the first time and serves grades PreKindergarten through 5th grade. Mrs. Ruestmann was also on campus and enjoyed greeting all the new JRE Eagles!
Please continue to be aware of school zone speeds and expect traffic delays the first few weeks of the school year. Thank you to all our families who posted so many great pics from the first day. We have compiled all the great shots for everyone!

Take Action Now Argyle!
Throughout five legislative sessions in 2023 in Texas, our leaders have failed to agree on legislation that would fully fund Texas public schools. We need action and we need it now. Please join us in asking our legislators to prioritize public education funding!
Presently,
- Argyle ISD is one of few districts in the state that has received the Formula Transition Grant since 2019 and faces a significant funding cliff beginning with the 2024-2025 fiscal year when FTG expires,
- Argyle ISD is subject to losing approximately $250,000 via the Robin Hood formula of “recapture,”
- There has been NO CHANGE to the basic allotment despite 40-year record inflation.
- Argyle ISD, like most school districts in Texas, is struggling to provide meaningful raises to our teachers.

Construction fencing is being installed around the practice fields and the east side of the field house. All fencing was in place by the start of school.
Some parking will be impacted and unavailable during this process, but plenty of spots remain available across the campus. The AISD Stadium will be located behind the field house and will use the existing field.
The Indoor Activity Center will be located on the east side of the field house. Both projects were part of the voter-approved bond package in 2022 and are scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2025.
