Clifton Park Elementary
Welcome, October!
We want to ask that you partner with us to help grow your child, both academically and emotionally. Our teachers and staff work so hard to give them quality, rigorous instruction and support each day, but we need your help at home! Have them read to you, and ask questions about what they read. Look for the math in everyday things - grocery prices, telling time, estimating, shapes, measuring, etc. There are so many opportunities for learning each evening and weekend!
IMPORTANT ITEMS:
It's time for Federal Impact Aid surveys to be completed for Killeen ISD students. Killeen ISD must receive a survey for each student annually. It is important that ALL parents or guardians complete this form.
How do I get started?
- Log in to Home Access Center (A Home Access Center account is required)
- Click the Registration icon in the menu.
- Select the Update Enrollment tab.
- Click the Start link to the right of the Impact Aid Survey form name.
- After verifying the student's date of birth, you will be taken directly to the form.
Please email us at impactaid@killeenisd.org or call 254-336-0157 if you have any questions.
Federal Impact Aid supports local school districts with concentrations of children who have parents / guardians in the uniformed services or parents / guardians employed on eligible Federal Properties.
REPORT CARDS will be sent home Wednesday, October 23. Make sure to check backpacks! Your teacher will be reaching out to schedule a parent/teacher conference soon; as a Title I school, we are required to hold and document at least on conference per year, but we always hope to communicate much more than that. If your child is failing reading or math on the report card, this conference is so important; we want to partner with you to help pull those grades up. Make sure to come and talk to us!
Pre-K through 1st: Please send an extra change of clothes in your child's backpack each day. Our little ones often have accidents or spill milk on themselves and we'd like to take care of them without calling parents to come to school with an outfit. Please place extra underwear, socks, and pants/shirt/dress in a ziplock bag with your child's name and leave it in the backpack.
If your child is struggling academically and is in 4th or 5th grade, tutoring is offered at the Math Center (Jackson Professional Learning Center building on Rev. Abercrombie Drive) from 5:00-7:00 M-Th and 9:00-12:00 on Saturdays. Click the link below for more information!
