Judson ISD Superintendent Message
May 28, 2024
Dear Judson ISD Family:
The final week of school is here! This week we will celebrate our Judson ISD graduates. As we do, I always think about the many adults who helped those students make it to this point. Thank you for putting in the work that gives them opportunities after this week is over. Thank you for the care and love you gave them. For some of our students, school is where they feel safest and most taken care of - thatโs because of you.
Being all of those things for our students is a big and exhausting job. You have earned your summer vacation and more! This summer, I wish for you long days with those you love, fun and adventures, and, of course, the rest you so truly deserve.
Have a wonderful summer.
Dr. Milton R. Fields, III

Groundbreaking for Elementary #21 in Judson ISD
On May 24, 2024, Judson ISD broke ground on its 21st elementary school. The newest elementary is the first Judson ISD campus located in the City of Selma. The almost 60,000-square-foot campus, designed by Alamo Architects and constructed by Nunnelly, is scheduled for completion in July 2025.
At the event, Superintendent Dr. Milton โRobโ Fields III, thanked the entire Judson ISD community for supporting the 2022 bond that made the elementary school a reality.
โAfter the community and Board support, to be where we are now is truly monumental. I canโt wait to be here when we are doing the ribbon cutting and opening the doors to our newest campus,โ Fields said.
Board President Suzanne Kenoyer echoed Fields' gratitude and added that the new school will be an asset to the nearby community.
โWe have so many students in this area who travel a great distance to get to school. Now they will have a neighborhood school, where children can ride their bikes to school or walk with their parents to school. A school that is truly a part of where they live,โ Kenoyer said.
In attendance were elected officials from Selma, surrounding municipalities, and from the offices of Congressman Henry Cuellar and Congressman Greg Casar.
In honor of the groundbreaking, Congressman Henry Cuellar sent his congratulations and a Congressional Recognition.
โAs a community, we are very grateful and proud that you have chosen to build the 21st elementary school in this much needed area. I wish your staff, teachers, and future students only the best in achieving their future endeavors,โ Cuellar said in the Recognition.
