General Annoucements
HOSA Blood Drive
The HOSA Blood Drive is this Friday, February 21 at Davis High School. We still need blood donors. Please get a permission slip from room 907 or the office and return it by Thursday to donate blood. Any student over age 16 who meets the weight requirements is eligible. All donors receive a t-shirt and snacks. Each donation saves 3 lives and donors are needed every 2 seconds!
Black History Month
In honor of Black History Month, go check out the first Black History Month Installation curated by the GDHS Black Student Union, in conjunction with the Modesto City Schools District Office. It is located in the 600 wing closest to the little theater. The Installation is entitled: "Living Black History", and it honors current Modesto City School employees for being amazing at what they do. East poster also reflects a visionary in the African diaspora whom each employee has highly revered throughout their lifetime.
Spartan Food Pantry
Spartan Food Pantry is every minimum day on Wednesday from 2:30pm- 4:00pm

Detention
In order to be eligible to attend extracurricular activities, including sporting events and dances, your student needs to clear all detentions. If your student owes detention, please encourage your student to serve them. Detentions are held Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30, Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 in the Intervention Center.
National FFA Week
For National FFA Week Grace Davis FFA is hosting a Pie in the Face activity. Coin collection jars are in the SBO, go put money in the jars of your favorite teacher to see them get pied in the face. The jars of Mr. Felver, Mr. Bergerson, Mr. Rubio and our chapter Vice President Maxine Burkhart and Chapter President Alyssa Guerrero are located in the SBO. The teacher with the most money after lunch on Thursday will get pied in the face on Friday during lunch outside the front officer. All proceeds will be donated to Modesto Hospice!

Spartan of the Quarter Ceremony
Students nominated for Spartan of the Quarter will be released early from 7th period and head to the cafeteria for a special ceremony. Parents will receive messages via Parentsquare if their student is part of the ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 3pm.

Academic Incentive Distribution
Students who earned Gold, Silver, or Bronze for their quarter 2 grades can come to the front of the stage during lunch to receive a donut. Click this LINK to see if you are eligible.

Come to the gym at 6:30pm to watch Grown Ups 2! Churro Bar Co will be there!
