Notes from Principal Savage
Spring Greetings, Families,
It is our busiest time of year with Oregon State Assessments, end-of-year celebration planning, rapidly approaching graduation, and the start of our last hexter! These things have not kept us from planning for the future.
By now, you should have received some important pieces of communication. We mailed out letters in follow-up to the digitally sent letters about restructuring for next year. Please make sure that you read either of those letters and call our office for questions. State testing information was sent out periodically with letters sent in emails about specific testing times, days, and locations. Separate letters were sent depending on the grade band your students are in. You must contact our office if there are barriers to your student participating in assessments. We also sent communication about our senior/graduate movie night activity and our end-of-year celebration for grades 3-8.
If you did not receive any of the above communications from us, please call our office so we can correct where the communication gaps are. Also, check our social media pages for information.
We want to celebrate Medford Online Academy’s Valedictorian, Shayla Carpenter! Shayla is the daughter of Kayla Carpenter and has been a student at MOA since the 2021-22 school year. She completed her graduation requirements in November and since finishing her requirements has been busying herself with making plans for her next steps in life!
Speaking of graduation, any senior that had grades below passing in Hex 5 needs to reach out to Eva Bartlet ASAP to discuss the impact on graduation plans!
Please keep your eyes peeled for further communication about events and next year. As always, give us a call with any questions you may have! Until then, let’s keep on keepin’ on!
Sincerely,
Natosha Savage
