Remote Learning Info and more

A REMOTE THANK YOU
Thank you. Thank you parents, teachers, and students for your dedication to education! While we'd rather be in the classroom instructing, Remote Learning Days at Opequon Elementary have been hugely successful. Our attendance rates have been incredible.
Parents
Thank you for ensuring your students are online and ready to go throughout the day. They've been attentive and participating throughout each session. We hope that it's provided a glimpse into what happens during their daily routine in the building! We're tackling Heggerty, UFLI, and iReady math instruction. We're so grateful for all the help you've been able to provide throughout this unique winter season! If you need anything, please reach out to your student's homeroom teacher.
Students
Thank you for being ready each day this week. It's been wonderful seeing you all engaged and actively participating. Your UFLI work on whiteboards has been a testament to the work you've been doing throughout the year. It's been great to hear you talk about math using academic language and share your thinking with your classmates. You're brilliant! Keep up the good work!
Teachers
Thank you for being ready for the challenge that can be Remote Learning. You're knocking it out of the park! Thank you for being thoughtful with the instruction you're providing and sticking with our mission to educate and motivate each child every day. Keep doing great things! Your administration, your students and their families are so appreciative of the work you're putting in, knowing that you'd prefer to be in the classroom too! We can't wait to be back together.

OES Schedule & Expectations
Students are expected to be online at least three different times throughout the day. We have designated 9:00-10:00 ELA, 2:00-3:00 Math, and whenever their designated Specials time is (see image). Many of our students will be invited to attend additional times for interventions or to provide Special Education minutes. Those times will be communicated by the individual teachers and appear either in Clever or SeeSaw messages. Students are expected to be ready for the school day with cameras turned on so we can see their beautiful faces! :)
