Note from Sr. Kucinski

Dearest LODL Families:

It's hard to believe we are almost halfway done with the 2022-23 school year. Next Thursday is the end of Semester One! We look forward to welcoming our families into in person parent / teacher conferences during the first few weeks of February. Please use this time to ask any questions you might have about your child's progress, as well as growth targets over the second half of the school year.

This week we were well prepared for a day of E-learning should there have been inclement weather on Thursday; but we were thankful for in person learning! That truly is the best way to do it! :-). Please know that in the future should we anticipate a possible delay or cancellation, we will plan on sending devices home for easily accessible E-learning opportunities for our students.

5th graders went to Twin Oaks Middle School for Music Performances

All the 5th graders in the district were treated to a Music Performance at the Middle Schools. They really enjoyed listening to our Prior Lake Middle School Students showcase their musical talents.

Annual Inclusivity Award is seeking nominations

Our Special Education Advisory Group is initiating our second annual Inclusivity Award and is seeking nominations to recognize outstanding staff, students and parents who go above and beyond to support ALL learners.

We hope to have many nominations for our awards team to review in our efforts to award recognition in each category including students, parents, special and general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers (speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapist, psychologists, nursing) and other school staff (clerical, custodial, child nutrition, transportation, administrators) .

Responses are not limited to one nomination. Awards will be presented during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Next Early Release is February 8th

Our last Intern Early Release event was such a success that we are already planning for the next one in February! Fiesta De Los Padres

Join us at The Wilds Golf Club for the 3rd annual Fiesta de los padres! This adults only event is a great way to meet other LODL families and staff! All funds raised this year will be put towards teacher grants and interns for next year!
