PRAYER
A Prayer for Strength
Our Father,
Sometimes the cares of the day
seem to multiply, while the blessings fade so quickly.
Our bodies grow tired
and our minds even more tired.
Jesus, help us.
Give us the strength You've promised
in Your Word.
Give us the power
to take the next step.
Give us your grace...
for we know that in our weaknesses
YOUR STRENGTH is revealed.
May we receive it today.
Amen.

Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook
The Archdiocese has developed a Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook for all of the Catholic schools in our 10-county Archdiocese in southeastern Wisconsin.
The concept of Catholic Social Responsibility is not new. In fact, rooted in Scripture, and the teachings of the Church, it has always been an important focus of our Catholic school curriculum and programming. What’s new about this approach is that our school leaders have organized a framework to ensure that Catholic Social Teachings are integrated into every aspect of school life.
Information for parents about the Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook, including introductory videos in English and Spanish, is available at https://www.archmil.org/Education/Catholic-Social-Responsibility.htm.

A Note from Mrs. Longden
As we were conducting Parent-Teacher Conferences this past week, I was reminded of one important question that should guide our thinking as parents and teachers, "What is the purpose of education?" For many people it has simply become a career preparation program, but we want our education to be much more. Working in partnership with parents, we hope that our graduates will be able to think well, speak well, and write well. They should know how to tell right from wrong and practice acting in ways that are right (habits which we call virtues), because they love God. In this way, our education will form them to be good people, good citizens, and people of faith leading lives of holiness. This is what we strive to do each day at Holy Trinity, and we know that our parents are supporting this at home in your families.
I often hear statements at the school such as, “Let me know how I can help”. This is the time of the year when we definitely need people to step forward physically, spiritually, and financially to help us. There have been many opportunities listed in the newsletters to volunteer, attend and donate. If you are interested, please reach out to the school. Please join in and become a bigger part of our school life and success.
Most importantly, please remember to pray for the school. Please help us continue our very important work in our Catholic school. This is both a personal and communal way to make a huge difference in the lives of many.
A special thanks to all who support us in one or all of these ways and to all the folks from the past who have made this school amazing through physical, spiritual, and financial support.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
