There is no need to call ahead when you want to sign your student out of class. When you arrive at the school office to sign them out, we will be happy to call the classroom for you. Please always allow a little extra time in case the class is outside at recess, at lunch, in the library, etc.

Yearbooks are on sale now! Envelopes were sent home with your child, for cash/check purchases. You can order online for a small fee of $.99. The link for ordering online is below. The Marigold Elementary job # is 19232 in case it doesn't automatically show up. The deadline for orders is 3/31/25.

Attention 5th grade Students:

It’s already time to think about the upcoming school year! Chico Unified School District’s Jr Highs are excited and eager to welcome you to their campus’ to preview, “ALL THINGS JR HIGH!” They are holding special visitation days for all of their incoming 6th grade students. Current students and staff of all three Jr High Schools have created fun interactive events to give you all the information you need to be successful in Junior High. Students visit the Junior High designated by their home address or an approved form 10 or form 11. Please see below for dates/times of your Jr High Visitation Day.

Our Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be held March 31-April 4th in the Marigold MPR. Come shop for books before school (7:30-8:10 am) or after school (2:00-2:30 pm) all week. Families are also invited to shop the Fair in the evening on Thursday, April 3 from 6:00-7:30 PM. All purchases benefit our school!

Do you need to change your address or your phone number? Here is how to make these changes yourself:

-Log into your parent portal at https://hac.chicousd.org

-Select Student Info tab on far left side

-Select Data Confirmation BEFORE selecting Contacts!

-Select Contacts

To edit a contact record, select the pencil/edit button, make changes, SAVE changes

To add a new contact, select Add, create new contact, SAVE changes

To delete a contact record, contact the main office.

TK/KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2025/26 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS MONDAY DECEMBER 2, 2024

To enter Kindergarten in the fall, a child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2025. To enter Transitional Kindergarten, a child must turn four on or before September 1, 2025.

Parents should register their children at the school serving their residence area (proof of residence is required).

You must begin the registration process online. Go to the ENROLL A STUDENT tab on Marigold's website . Read carefully all the documents required and how to submit documents to our school.

Please note that Form 10 School of Choice applications will be available December 2, 2024, with a deadline to submit by January 17, 2025 for first priority placement opportunities. You must still register at your resident school prior to submitting a Form 10.
