Great news, our annual tradition is back for another year! Join us for our Fernbrook Ice Cream Social event on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The event is from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM and will be outside of Fernbrook School on the Blacktop (near the playground). If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in the Fernbrook Gym.

Please note that this event is free for all current PTO members and will be $2 per child for non-members ($2.25 if paying by credit card). Please note that this is also not a drop off event and registration is required.

What exactly does the 5th Grade Committee do?

• Plan Fun Events: Fall Festival, Movie Night and the Fifth Grade Dance
• Fundraise: Event fundraisers, Local Restaurant nights, etc.
• Swag: 5th Grade T-shirts and additional items as decided by the Committee.
• Moving Up Ceremony: Decorations, Program and Gathering Baby Photos/Creating a bulletin board in the school
• Deciding on and purchasing a Fifth Grade Gift to the School
• To make sure our students have a memorable last year at Fernbrook

The deadline to submit this form is Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Are you a current Fernbrook family and are interested in helping a new family in town? Good news! We have just the program for you!

To welcome new families to our school and help them get acclimated more quickly, the Fernbrook PTO is proud to announce our Family Buddy Program.

This program will pair new Fernbrook families with existing Fernbook families so they can be a helpful and friendly resource. Buddies are here to answer any questions about Fernbrook, the PTO, and Randolph in general.

The Fernbrook PTO and Fifth Grade Committee are proud to announce our next Fifth Grade event of the school year, Fifth Grade Dance Event: "Light Up the Night with your Friends" on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 7:00 PM- 9:00 PM at Fernbrook School Gym.

For $25 per person, snacks, ice cream truck, water, Live DJ, photo booth photos, and more will be provided. Students can come dressed up or dressed down. Either way, wear bright colors, Hawaiian shirts and attire!

Note: This is a drop-off event and only Fernbrook Fifth Grade Students can attend this event!

What better way to celebrate your fifth grade student moving onto middle school than to purchase a yard sign. Yard signs can be displayed both indoors and outdoors and a metal stake is included with each corrugated sign for $25. For an additional $5, you can add your child's name to the sign to personalize it.

The deadline to order your very own Fernbrook Fifth Grade Yard Sign is May 17, 2024. Yard Sign pick up with be communicated at a later date via email. Expect them to arrive the last week of May.

We hope our Teachers and Staff at Fernbrook enjoyed Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Thank you to everyone who donated time, money, and supplies to make our Fernbrook staff feel loved. Parents and families really came out and helped in all ways this year. We’ve gotten wonderful feedback that the staff have all had a fantastic week! Additionally, the EBoard and the Fernbrook Community would like to thank our very own Brittany Bassett and Christine Steigman (Teacher Appreciation Committee Co-Chairs) for all of the time and effort that was put into making this week so special. We are so lucky to have you both!

Thank you to everyone who supported our annual spring flower fundraiser! We hope you enjoy your beautiful flowers! Also, thank you for your patience since the flowers arrived a little later than we had anticipated. Extra special thanks to our volunteers: Colette Sanfelice, Meghan Epperly, Gina Dandrow, Melissa Issa, Brittany Bassett, John Falhalla, Loren Darzano, Jan Braff and Dana Pineiro.

Additionally, the EBoard would like to thank our very own Dana Pineiro, our Spring Flowers Committee Chair for all of her assistance with the organization of this amazing fundraiser!

Whether you’re a competitive or recreational runner, an experienced or beginner walker, or just looking to meet up and do something fun, the 14th Annual Randolph Rocks 5K Run/1K Fun Run is for you! Bring your friends, family and neighbors and join us to help support an amazing organization: Randolph Education Foundation (REF).

REF, a nonprofit organization that supports the Randolph Township School District will host Randolph Rocks 5K/1K on June 1, 2024 at the Randolph High School Wellness Center (511 Millbrook Avenue; Randolph, NJ 07869). The 1K Fun Run begins at 8:30 AM and the 5K Race will start at 8:45 AM.

Can't make it with us in-person for the event? You're in luck! You can also register for a Virtual 5K Race instead. This can be completed whenever you would like between June 1 and June 8, 2024.

Note: The 5K Race Course is a USTAF certified and Grand Prix sanctioned race course! Additionally, the elementary school with the most signups will win a special award!

Do you know of a teacher who has had a positive impact on a child’s life? Is there a school staff member who has gone the extra mile for your child? Say “Thank you” with a Star Card!

For a $5 donation, the Randolph Education Foundation (REF) will send your personal note to any teachers, staff members, or administrators in the district to let them know that they have made a difference in a child’s life. There’s no limit to how many cards you can buy. Please remember the people who provide hot lunches to the students, drive buses, and keep our buildings and grounds neat and clean.

Your personal message will be delivered on a Star Card the first week in June.
