From Ms. O's Desk
Dear Quetzal Families,
Thank You for Supporting State Testing! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our Mistral families for your support during state testing. Your efforts in ensuring that students arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best have made a big difference. We truly appreciate your partnership in helping our students succeed!
Next week, students will be taking the i-Ready assessments. The Math assessment will be on Tuesday, May 13th, and the Reading assessment will be on Thursday, May 15th. Thank you in advance for continuing to support your child by encouraging a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a positive mindset.
We are currently looking for three parent/guardian representatives to serve on our School Site Council (SSC) for the upcoming school year. SSC is an important advisory group made up of five staff members and five parents. This team plays a key role in reviewing and guiding the school’s goals, the school site plan, and decisions around budget and funding use. If you're interested in being part of the decision-making process for things like our school site plan, emergency planning, and resource allocation, please email me by May 16th.
If you have volunteered on campus this year, please remember to return your volunteer badge to the front office by May 23rd. We are collecting all badges at this time in preparation for next school year.
Thank you for being an essential part of our Mistral community!
Have a great rest of your week.
Claudia Olaciregui, Principal
