Hello NFHS Families and Students,
Welcome to the January 2025 Edition of The Wolverine!
We're excited to welcome your children back from a well deserved winter break! As we jump into the New Year, just a reminder that we are in the middle of the 20 week marking period and it is very important to stay focused and positive. Please encourage your students to keep up good attendance, academics, and on-task behavior. We are grateful to you, the parents and guardians, who support them each day to make school a priority. Let's have a great start to the new year!

Winter Sports Events
Please remember, students must follow the NFHS policy for attending all after-school events. Students MUST have a sports pass to attend.
To obtain a Sports Pass:
You must be academically eligible
You must have an 85% attendance rate
This pass must be presented digitally at the event along with your NFHS School ID.
My Ride App
The district recently launched the parent app for buses. Use the attached document (below) to learn how to access the app and be able to track your child's bus ride to and from school.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) - March 13
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a standardized test that measures a person's aptitude, strengths, and potential for military careers The ASVAB helps determine a person's eligibility and suitability for military careers. It also helps identify a person's strengths and find the right career for them.

Behavioral Expectations
- Behavior: Review the complete Code of Conduct, Parent-Student Handbook, and Eligibility Policy at www.nfschools.net under the “Parent and Guardian” tab.Students must follow the directions of school employees and treat others with respect.
- Cell Phones and Headphones: Can be used appropriately in hallways and during lunch, but must be put away during instruction. Follow the “one ear bud” policy for safety.
- Class Attendance: Students must attend all assigned classes, including study halls and lunch, and be on time. Hall passes are required during class time. We will conduct "Hall Sweeps" multiple periods a day to encourage students to attend class and arrive on time.
- Appearance Code: Faces must be completely visible, and backpacks must remain in lockers.
