Important Information!
- If your child goes to daycare, please make sure to let the daycare know if they will not be coming to daycare for any reason after school. It can cause confusion for transportation home if we have documented that the child is a car or bus rider, but the daycare arrives and expects them to board their van.
- Instruction begins at 7:45 and the tardy bell rings at 7:50. If you arrive past 7:50 please walk your child to the doors so you can sign them into the office.
- If you have any transportation changes, please make sure that you let Mrs. Penney know by 2:30. This helps ensure that she has enough time to alert teachers of the change.

Coffee with the Counselor
April 1, 2024
Last week in K-1 classes, we talked about sharing and cooperating with others. Students were challenged to create a group picture with just the crayons given to them. They had to decide TOGETHER what to draw and EVERYONE had to draw something. The groups did such an amazing job working together and came up with some great pictures! In second grade, we listened to the story, “I Just Don’t Like the Sound of NO!” by Julia Cook. We talked about and practiced appropriate ways to respond when we are told, “No”.
Our April word of the month is courage. Courage is choosing what is helpful, right, and kind- even when it’s hard or scary. We will be celebrating our students of the month from March (cooperation) on Friday, April 19th, which will also be our testing bash!
I will be starting some 5th grade small groups soon to help students transition to middle school next year. We will work on locker combinations, and discuss our worries as well as things we are excited about. We will also be discussing this topic in all classes, but if you think your child could benefit from being in a small group as well, please let me know!
As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns that I can help with. It’s going to be a great week at Wooster!
