Students - Be sure to check out the bulletin board up front to learn more about why you were selected. If you were absent, be sure to stop by the main office to pick up your certificate, T-shirt, and other EMS gear. We're proud of you and grateful you're a part of our Eisenhower school community.
Looking ahead, the next Student Spotlight theme will be Emotional Intelligence. We will be looking for students who are socially skilled, empathetic, and wise beyond their years!
About EMS Student Spotlight
March's Advisory Theme - Companionship
This month's advisory lesson focused on companionship and the power of positive friendships. During advisory, students viewed a short video and participated in interactive activities designed to get students up, moving around, and interacting with the topic and each other face to face. Please feel free to follow up with your student at home and discuss advisory and how it went in their class.
About EMS Advisory & Friday Final
Advisory takes place monthly, right before each Friday Finale Assembly. These lessons are tailored for middle schoolers with activities that focus on promoting good character, developing social and emotional skills, and fostering a positive school community. All students are invited and encouraged to actively participate in advisory with their homeroom classmates and teacher(s), prior to the start of their period 1 class. Our hope is that this brief break from academics contributes to a positive school culture that all students can thrive within.
After advisory, the entire school community gathers in the auditorium for a "Friday Finale". At this assembly, we announce upcoming events, celebrate the accomplishments of our various arts, athletics and extracurricular programs, and announce the latest recipients of our "Student and Staff Spotlight Awards".
Students - Remember! The teachers are looking to catch you being kind in advance of our next Friday Finale raffle. If you get caught, be sure to place your ticket in the lunchroom bucket so you can be entered for a prize like a Dunkin Donuts, Crumbl or Starbucks gift cards at our next Finale assembly!
Coming soon to EMS!
Attention 8th Grade Families! Photos Needed!!
Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Guardians:
We hope that this email finds you well! We are in disbelief that it is already March - where has the year gone!?!
Believe it or not, it is already time to begin to think about Step Up happening in just a few short months! We would like to create a bulletin board with each 8th grade student in their Step Up gown paired next to a Pre-school or Kindergarten picture of them (cue the tears!).
If you could please submit a Pre-school or Kindergarten picture of your child by April 15th, it would be greatly appreciated. Please upload only one photo, please. Please link the picture to the following Google Form: Kindergarten Picture Google Form
We will be taking the gown picture here at school! We will give each student their side-by-side picture to take home at the end of the school year!
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!
