Hello Oak Ridge families! Have you ever wondered about the role of a school social worker? One of the first things that we do when we meet with a student or students for the first time, is to explain just that! There is a large variety of ways in which we can offer support to students, teachers, classrooms, and to families. We try to get to know as many students as possible, before they may even need any support, so that we can already be a familiar, trusted adult when/if they do need our help. We would like to offer that opportunity to our families as well! This month, we are very excited to be hosting a Social Worker Meet and Greet Coffee Hour! We look forward to sharing more about ourselves, meeting you in person, and answering any questions that you may have!
Sincerely,
Claire Poole and Katie Hegg
